INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS WEEK
This week we are excited to celebrate Inclusive Schools Week, a nationwide event that recognizes the efforts of schools to create learning environments where every student feels valued, supported, and included.
Throughout the week, students will engage in activities that promote empathy, respect, and understanding of the diverse strengths and experiences that make up our school community. We’ll highlight the importance of embracing differences and working together to ensure that all students, regardless of ability, background, or identity, have the opportunity to succeed.
Here’s how you can join in:
Monday: Wear Red for Respect!
We respect and support our classmates and recognize that our individual differences are what make us special.
Tuesday: Wear Green for Gifts!
Friendship is a gift we give to one another. Let’s celebrate the unique gifts and talents we each bring to our community.
Wednesday: Wear Blue for Belonging!
Creating a culture of belonging is key at Clifford. Together, we’ll celebrate a school where every student feels they truly belong.
Thursday: Wear Yellow for Positivity!
At Clifford, we embrace each other’s abilities and spread joy by being positive with one another.
Friday: Wear Orange to Offer Friendship!
Orange represents unity and community. Let’s stand together for diversity, inclusion, and the power of friendship.
We encourage you to continue these conversations at home by discussing what inclusion means to your family and ways we can all contribute to creating a welcoming environment for everyone.
Thank you for your ongoing support in fostering a community where every student feels they belong.
HOLIDAY TOY & BOOK DRIVE
Help bring the holiday spirit to children in need in our community - donate a new toy or book today!
The holiday season is a time of joy, happiness, family, and friendship. This year, the Redwood City Police and Fire Department, PAL Center, and Parks Recreation and Community Services, have teamed up yet again with The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League, San Carlos Fire Department, Woodside Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, Redwood City 330 Squad Club, and the CARON Project in order to continue our annual Redwood City / San Mateo County Christmas Toy and Book Drive. With help from the Fair Oaks Community Center and a corps of volunteers, this annual event has become a welcomed tradition in the Redwood City community. This tradition can only happen with the community’s help.
Last year, over 132 local businesses filled 161 donation barrels with toys. In return, these toys were provided to over 880 families that needed assistance. In return, these toys were provided to over 800 families that needed assistance. Deliveries usually take place with Santa Claus riding in a police car or a fire engine and personally delivering presents to kids and families. This priceless experience gives the kids a thrill they’ll long remember.
If you would like to donate a toy or book, collection barrels are located in the school office.
