St. Anthony of Padua
August 9, 2024 - Volume 5; Issue 1
Welcome Back
On behalf of our Pastor, faculty and staff, welcome to St. Anthony of Padua for the 2024-2025 school year! The beginning of a new school year is always exciting, offering new possibilities and opportunities. We would especially like to extend a warm welcome to our new families. We are delighted that you have chosen a Catholic education for your children, and we are very pleased that you have selected St. Anthony of Padua. We hope that you will quickly feel at home and become involved in the many aspects of our parish school community.
This year, our school theme will remind us that we are “Filled with God’s Grace.” Being filled with God's grace is a profound experience of God's presence and love in one's life, leading to a deeper relationship with God and a desire to share that grace with others. This theme will build upon one of St. Anthony of Padua’ famous teachings, “Grace is a gift from God.” St. Anthony emphasized that it is through grace that we are able to grow in holiness and draw closer to God.
Blessings,
Mr. Blanc & Mrs. Carpenter

Life Skill of the Week
We are beginning this new school year with a wonderful and renewed sense of spirit and energy! Working together and building our school community of faith, we will continue to develop the framework for moral reasoning and ethical decision-making. This commitment is integral to the mission of all Catholic schools. By integrating into our teachings the relationship between belief and behavior - between faith and morals - we can show our students how to live their faith. One way we achieve this goal is through our Life Skills program. Each week, we will focus on a different skill, and through practice, we can create opportunities that help build character. We will start the year off with a focus on Accountability.
Our Life Skill for this week will focus on "Accountability: taking ownership of decisions and choices you make." Taking ownership for our actions helps us on our path to becoming Responsible Citizens and Effective Communicators.
