"It's Hard for Everyone Right Now" - News Spotlight on Churches in Mission
Churches in Mission was featured on WTHR recently to highlight the increase in food needs, especially with the loss of the Indiana SUN Bucks program which provided extra summertime grocery funds for families whose children receive free or reduced lunch during school. See the WTHR story.
Food needs at Churches in Mission have increased from 421 food orders distributed in May of 2020 to 1,002 food orders distributed during May 2025. Learn more about our services and our impact.
Survivor: Outserve - Outpray - Outgive!
Our annual gala will be Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Sycamore at Mallow Run! We'll have a fun evening with an amazing dinner, silent and live auction, and we can't wait to share the excitement as we weave themes from the show into our evening's activities! Even if you aren't able to attend the event, you can take part in our silent auction online.
We hope you'll be able to join us at our keynote event of the year! Learn more about the event, purchasing tickets, or becoming a table sponsor, or being an auction item sponsor.
Skip the Trip! Stretching Dollars for Key Food Donations
There's a new way to help Churches in Mission purchase needed food items at the lowest possible prices. With the new becauseOne portal, Churches in Mission is able to take donations and mark then toward specific items that can be purchased at bulk food bank pricing. Donors simply choose from the posts of most needed items to select their purchase.
Other giving categories include overhead necessities, such as trash service, as well as an option for giving a chosen dollar amount or a recurring donation each week or month.
Follow the becauseOne donation page to find out the latest food and other needs.
The Importance of Hygiene Donations
Did you know that hygiene items cannot be purchased with food stamps? These items are critical for and truly appreciated by our families. Most-needed items include toilet paper, shampoo, and diapers sizes 4 and larger.
Calling All Gardeners
We appreciate donations of fresh produce items for our neighbors in need, such as these from the Backyard Farm Collective! If you are able to donate extras from your garden, we would be glad to pass them on to our families.
Enjoy the Show!
Our friends at Showtime Cinema are continuing their children's summer movie series for the admission price of a non-perishable item for Churches in Mission. Find the Summer Movie Series Schedule for all of the Wednesday kids classics.
