Dear Shadow Hill's Families,
Dear Shadow Hill's Families,
What a beautiful day and a great kick off to a weekend full of SUN!
We have much to be grateful for including the ground breaking for our Walking Path. If you haven't already, we invite you to take a weekend stroll to the school and check out the progress that is being made! Also, mark your calendars for Friday, May 16th for that will be our Big Community Evening Event and Celebration of the Walking Path as PTO is sponsoring a Color Run. Details to come!
Also, thank you families for the amount of minutes students read during the Read A Thon! Over 47,000 minutes! This fills the hearts of all our staff! And to top it off, we surpassed our goal of $10,000 which is money raised for our Outdoor Classroom. Round of applause for all families!
This upcoming week is the last week of the third quarter. Friday is an early release day at 1:45 for teachers to work on report cards and progress reports. The following week is Spring Break.
We had an amazing turnout for our kinder registration. Shadow Hill's enrollment is staying strong! It was so wonderful for us to meet our new families as well as continuing nurturing the relationships of our existing families and the newest sibling to join our school family.
A friendly encouragement for those students who are riding bicycles and scooters to school is to have locks for the bike racks. We will be moving the bike rack near the JFK portable to the other side near the bus loop to allow for better visibility. Unfortunately, we have had some bicycles taken and found in other locations. Again, it is recommended that students lock their bikes and scooters up.
Lastly, standardized testing is around the corner. Please read the information provided by your child's teacher for upcoming testing schedules. We appreciate you making every effort to schedule appointments around the testing schedules.
We appreciate your support and involvement at Shadow Hills.
Sincerely and with Gratitude,
The Shadow Hills Staff
