PTSA Organization Update
We are sharing the latest update regarding the formation of Angeline’s Inaugural PTSA. It was decided at the April 30th meeting that we will be moving forward with forming our PTSA under the umbrella of Pasco Advocates. This is great news because we can form our group with the remaining fifteen school days left in this school year! We are currently gathering all pertinent information regarding the necessary administrative steps to join and form our group and will provide updates as they are available.
In the meantime, we need a minimum of ten (10) members to form our PTSA. Dues are $5 for the year, and this year’s dues will be good through September 1, 2024. Once that calendar rolls over, you can rejoin the same way and your dues will be good until September 1, 2025. The link below will take you directly to the page to sign up and pay dues. Please make sure you type “Angeline” in the box for school affiliation so that we can keep an active roster and ensure that your membership is recorded for the proper school.

We are looking for anyone who is interested in holding a Board position on our PTSA. This includes President, Secretary and Treasurer, and, if we have enough interest, we can add a Vice President as well. Please respond to this email with your interest in filling one of those positions. We cannot form our PTSA group without set Board positions.
Please do not forget that we will need volunteers for the new family orientation at Angeline on May 22nd. The event will take place from 6:30pm – 8:00pm and PTSA is planning to have a table set up for informational and recruiting purposes. If you can volunteer for the PTSA or volunteer in general that evening, we’d love to have you. The link below will take you to the sign-up page for the event.

Yearbook Distribution
Dear Archer families,
Yearbook distribution began last Friday with a special event for High School students. All other grade levels & any high school student not attending this event will receive their yearbooks this week.
Your student will receive a notice with their yearbook to advise them to check for any printing errors (missing pages, an upside-down page, etc…) before they write in the book. Please remind your students that we can only replace books with printing errors if they have not yet been written in.
Due to publisher deadlines, the book was completed in early March. Any events that took place after this deadline will not be in this yearbook. We have been taking photos since then and plan to include many in next year’s book, including Track photos. There are approximately 40 yearbooks still available to purchase at YearbookForever.com. https://yearbookforever.com/
If you have any questions about this, please contact Mrs. Swain.

Teacher Appreciation Week 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We've had a fantastic school year, and our teachers and amazing staff are the MVPs for making this year possible. Help us celebrate them during the week of May 6-10, 2024!
We are fortunate to have some generous business partners who have donated to help with some treats for this week, but we can use donations of snacks and drinks for Monday, May 6th--as well as some volunteers who would provide "room service" deliveries of treats for our teachers & staff. Are you able to contribute a snack, drink or staff our delivery team? We'd love any help you can offer. :)
8th Grade Dance Donations Needed
We are working to plan an 8th-grade dance to help mark the closing of the middle school chapter for our Archers. Would you consider donating some decorations and supplies?

Golf Unit - PE Class Donations
Our PE coaches are planning a golf unit for our students. If anyone has any old clubs (8, 9, or wedges, putters-right or left handed) we would gladly accept them. The plan for the unit combines classes and uses a huge driving range. Contact Coach Klein with questions or to arrange a donation.

The spring band concert featured numbers from the AAI Combined band, as well as highlighting some of the students who participated in the recent Florida Bandmaster Association's Solo & Ensemble contest. The poise and growth shown by our musicians was impressive!

Important Reminders for Upcoming Testing Window
Dear parents and students,
As we gear up for the upcoming state testing period, we want to ensure everyone is well-prepared and informed about the guidelines and procedures in place. These tests are crucial for evaluating student progress and shaping educational strategies moving forward. To ensure fairness and integrity, it's imperative that everyone adheres to the following guidelines:
- Electronic Devices: Students are strictly prohibited from having any electronic devices during testing, including cell phones, earbuds, tablets, smartwatches, and cameras. These items must be collected by the test administrator or securely stored in the student's backpack until testing concludes. Even if switched off, electronic devices cannot be accessed by students during testing or breaks.
- Accessing Other Content: Once a student submits their test, they must refrain from using any electronic devices to access non-testing content until the test administrator officially concludes the session. This includes refraining from browsing websites, watching videos, or engaging in gaming activities.
- Consequences of Violations: If a student is found with an electronic device or accessing unauthorized content before, during, or after testing, their test will be invalidated. For students taking state End of Course (EOC) exams such as Algebra, Biology, Civics, Geometry, or United States History, an invalidated test will result in a zero, which will be calculated as 30% of the student’s grade.
- Leaving Campus: If a student leaves campus before completing a test, they will not be permitted to return to that test. It's essential to ensure that students are present for the duration of their scheduled testing sessions to maintain test integrity.
- Health and Attendance: If a student is feeling unwell on the day of testing, it may be advisable for them to wait and take the test on a makeup day. Additionally, we urge parents to avoid scheduling appointments on testing days to minimize disruptions to the testing process.
By adhering to these guidelines, we can create a fair and conducive testing environment that allows students to demonstrate their true abilities. If you have any questions about state testing, please contact your child’s school administration. Thank you for your cooperation and support in this important endeavor.

5 Easy Ways to Guide Your Child’s Worldview
5 Easy Ways to Guide Your Child’s Worldview
It was a movie my teenage boys were excited to watch. But as the plot thickened, it wasn't hard to notice some underlying themes potentially sending unhealthy messages. I felt that we either needed to pick another movie, use this as a springboard for further discussion, or both. As dads, we're faced with challenges to the health of our child's worldview on a regular basis. However, this isn't always a bad thing. It can often be just the excuse or prodding you need to have necessary and healthy conversations about tough topics that are shaping your kids. Here are 5 easy ways to guide your child's worldview.
Huddle up with your kids and ask, “What’s a recent life lesson you learned from someone or something?”
