Welcome Back!
Page Elementary School 2024-2025
Greetings!
I am so excited to be starting my fourth year at Page! Below is a little introduction, for our new families!
I have worked in the Pentucket District for thirteen years. Prior to Page, I spent four years working as the principal of Bagnall Elementary in Groveland. I have experience working with students in grades PreK-12 as an administrator, school psychologist, and special education coordinator. I absolutely love working with children and am passionate about providing them with the best possible educational experience.
Before I go--a little about myself! I live in Topsfield with my husband and two children. My daughter, Willa, is starting second grade this year at Steward School, and my son, Daniel, is three and attends daycare in Georgetown! I also have the most hyper and loving Goldendoodle named George!
Staff will be in starting on August 26th, for three days of PD, so if you need anything prior to the first day, please reach out!

Hours/Start Time
School hours are 8:35AM-3:00PM. If you drop off in the morning, please know we will not be allowing students in the building until 8:20AM.
Staff arrival times vary between 8:15AM and 8:25AM, and we do not have enough staff in the building to supervise students prior to that. Thank you for understanding!
Bus Routes/Information
Bus Routes: https://www.prsd.org/departments/transportation
The first few weeks of school for bus transportation are always a challenge.
Salter transportation is asking if you don't see a stop listed that your child can get to safely:
1. Go to the closest stop near you until corrections can be made
2. Send an email to dpulsifer@saltertrans.com and provide your child’s name, address and school
3. Salter will review the stop request and reply back via email
After the first couple weeks Salter will resend the updated list of routes.
Student Lunches
Lunch is again being fully funded this year, so all breakfast/lunches will be free to students.
Your child’s classroom will remain a “peanut/nut-free zone.” Please do not send in any food items to be consumed in the classroom that contains peanuts, nuts, peanut butter, nut butters, or peanut products.
- This includes almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, hazelnuts, macadamia nut, pecans, pine nuts, pistachios, and walnuts o Read labels carefully to make sure the products are nut free. This includes labels that read “May contain traces of peanuts/nuts” or “processed in a facility that processes products that contain peanuts/nuts.”
- Food labels and ingredients change over time, so always read the label each time before purchasing snacks.
- NO HOMEMADE TREATS MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE CLASSROOM. All treats/snacks brought to the classroom must have an ingredient label.
A peanut free table will be designated in the lunch room for all students with peanut/nut allergies. Peanut butter and peanut/nut products may be packed in your child’s lunch, but CANNOT be eaten in the classroom, or at the peanut/nut free lunch table.
Lunch Menu for September
Attendance
Everyday counts! High student attendance rates are linked to higher academic achievement and social-emotional well being. Please help us ensure that your student attends school everyday and arrives on time. School starts at 8:35AM at Page. If your student arrives at 8:35AM or later, they are considered tardy, and must check in at the main office.
If you know that your student is going to be tardy or absent, please notify the main office as soon as possible.
Responding to Reports of Bullying/Harassment
Bullying and harassment is taken very seriously at our school. If you know or suspect someone is being teased, bullied, or harassed at our school or in our district, please contact us immediately. I will walk you through the reporting process. If you are interested in our district's policy, you can find the policy and reporting forms on our website.
In addition, our district recently added an Anonymous Tip Form to our website as a way to report bullying or safety concerns to school administration.
A Note from Nurse Courtney!
Welcome back everyone! I'm looking forward to another year with your children!
If your child has any update to their health status, please let me know as soon as possible so we can best take care of them while at school. If your child is returning to school with an injury and/or mobility issue, a note from their health care provider is required for activity restrictions. A note from a parent excusing a student from Gym class is not acceptable. Details on this are in the Elementary Family Handbook.
The annual Student Health Information Form will be sent home with your child on the first day of school. Please review this form, make any changes on the form as applicable, sign and return to your child’s school nurse.
As always, a student should only come to school as long as they feel well enough to participate in learning and be fever free for 24 hours without any fever-reducing medication.
I'm always available by phone and email. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I'm excited to see familiar faces and meet new ones!
Communication
During the school year, I send a weekly newsletter to all families with important reminders and updates, as well as any school-wide happenings. In addition, we update our web page and social media accounts regularly, so please follow us!
Our social media handles/usernames are below. The FB username must be entered in your search bar as "Thepageschool Westnewbury" and you will have to send a friend request to be approved. There is another FB account titled Dr John C Page School, however, I believe it has been inactive for many years.
