Celebrating Excellence in Math!
A big congratulations to our talented students who scored 4 or higher on their AP Calculus exams last year! Ms. Mira took these high-achieving scholars on a special outing to recognize their hard work and dedication.
We're incredibly proud of their accomplishments and can't wait to see what they achieve next! Keep up the amazing work, everyone!
Innovative Engineering in Action: Mr. Ekinci's Class
Mr. Ekinci's PLTW Principles of Engineering class recently took on an exciting challenge—designing an expandable grabbing tool to retrieve small items from hard-to-reach places on a farm. This hands-on project provided students with the opportunity to explore the intersection of agriculture and mechanical engineering.
Through this activity, students not only honed their engineering skills but also gained valuable insights into real-world applications. Each step in the course is thoughtfully designed to prepare them for the final unit challenge: developing a mechanical device to solve an agricultural problem. We're proud of the innovative solutions our students are creating!

🚨 Stay in School, Save Your Grades: Texas Attendance Rules!
Important Attendance Reminder
Please be advised that according to Sec 25.085 of the Texas Education Code, children aged 6 to 19 must attend school unless exempt by law. This requirement also applies to children enrolled in pre-kindergarten or kindergarten.
The law (TEC §25.095) requires schools to notify parents if a student is absent for 10 or more days or parts of days within a six-month period in the same school year. Additionally, under Texas Education Code §25.093, parents may face prosecution if they fail to ensure their child’s attendance, and the student may be referred to a truancy court.
Attendance for Credit
The state of Texas states that: "A student in any grade level from kindergarten through grade 12 may not be given credit or a final grade for a class unless the student is in attendance for at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. A student who is in attendance for at least 75 percent but less than 90 percent of the days a class is offered may be given credit or a final grade for the class if the student completes a plan approved by the school's principal that provides for the student to meet the instructional requirements of the class."
Building Success Together: The Harmony P.A.T.H Program!
Since our founding in 2000, Harmony Public Schools has emphasized home visits as a way to capitalize on our student’s successes in the classroom. Harmony’s Parent Teacher Home Visit (P.A.T.H) program promotes partnerships between teachers and parents that provide the means for effective team problem-solving, observing children in their home environment, and encouraging parent involvement. This is a volunteer service and if a parent volunteers for this service, their child’s teacher, principals, or any Harmony employee will come by your home on an evening of your choosing to provide you with educational resources and answer any questions you might have. It creates a personal bond between the students, parents, and teachers to ensure optimum success. Have you had your home-visit scheduled yet?
INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING AT OUR SCHOOL?
Parent involvement in education is crucial. Studies have shown that, when parents are involved at school, the performance of all children at the school, not just their own students, exhibits improvement.
Become part of our new volunteer program and get alerted to new opportunities for you to volunteer at HSA!
