SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR YOUR REFERENCE
Come on Time and Stay the Day
A key to success at school is arriving on time and staying for the majority of day. Students miss key relationship building time if they are always tardy to school and can miss key academic time if they are leaving early.
Students who arrive at school after 8:30am are marked as "tardy." Students can be dropped off at school beginning at 8:00am when supervision starts.
Students who leave school prior to 2:00pm are marked as "left early." Their attendance is not counted as a full day.
As a reminder, student absences are marked "excused" for the following reasons:
A student who is temporarily ill or injured or whose absence is approved by the administrator of the school of attendance on a prearranged basis. Prearranged absences will be approved for appointments or circumstances of a serious nature only which cannot be taken care of outside of school hours. The school may request medical verification for illness after four absences per semester.
A student who is absent for an extended period due to a physical disability, or mental or behavioral health disorder.
A student who is pursuing a work study program under the supervision of the school.
A student who is attending any school-sponsored activity or activities of an educational nature with advance approval by the administration.
A student who is suspended or expelled.

This year, our assessment window in March 31-April 18. Please mark this in your calendars. Please try to avoid making appointments during these days. We will be sharing more exact dates and times as the time approaches.
Crosswalk Volunteer Signup
Spend 15 minutes of your day as a Crosswalk Volunteer!
- Why do we need you? The end of school is one of the busiest times of the day in the SPE Office, so it helps ALL of us parents and our children if that team does not have to be out managing the crosswalk.
- Time Commitment? Sign up for 1 day (15 min) or however many days you'd like.
- What do I do? Report to the SPE Office for your yellow vest and stop sign.
- What's in it for me? Feel good about helping keep children safe getting to the busses, and traffic flowing into the pickup lot.
Give it a try! Click Here to Sign Up to be a crosswalk volunteer!
