In this Teacher Activity Group Session, we will:

• discuss what we read and why we and our learners read outside the classroom
• discuss what type of texts learners need to read in the classroom
• identify effective reading strategies
• discuss effective pre-reading (priming) activities
• discuss which activities most effectively develop learners' skills
• practise designing a reading activity for a short story
• choose a reading activity to use in your own classroom after this TAG session
