MS Charger Memo
Monday, February 10th
Dear Middle School Chargers,
I want to take a moment to thank you for your hard work and the positive choices many of you have been making each day. Your focused attention to using hall passes respectfully, cleaning up your language, and being responsible members of our school community has not gone unnoticed. As a Charger community, we want all of our students to be safe, respectful, and responsible, and your efforts are helping make that a reality.
As we continue to grow together, I ask that you keep working on a few key areas:
- Hall Passes – Always use a pass when you leave class.
- Phones Off and Out of Sight – Stay focused on learning without distractions...this includes the use of bluetooth earbuds.
- Respectful and Encouraging Language – The way we speak to each other matters. Use words that build others up instead of tearing them down. A simple kind word, a compliment, or even a small act of encouragement can make a big difference in someone’s day. Let’s create a school culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
Our next focus is getting to class on time. This year, we have provided longer passing periods, yet too many students are still arriving late. Starting next week, being late to class without a pass will result in a lunch detention.
Why is being on time important?
- You maximize your learning. Every minute in class matters.
- You show respect for your teachers and classmates. Arriving late disrupts learning for everyone.
- You build good habits. Punctuality is a skill that will help you in high school, college, and future jobs.
Let’s work together to make our school a place where everyone shows up on time, ready to learn, and supports each other in being our best. Keep up the great work, Chargers—your efforts matter, and we are proud of you!
Mr. Joachim
