Hello Navigators,

We had a very productive PTO meeting and the PTO is doing amazing things for our students this year. Some of our recent fundraising efforts have gone well and helped us provide for our students. The Apple Pie event raised over $800, Chipotle over $600 and Boo Grams over $800! This has helped our 3rd graders go on a field trip to see The Wild Robot, will help 2nd grade go to the Safari Park and pay for our recent BMX Assembly! Thanks for all the support.

Our Apex Fun run fundraiser will be on Wednesday 10/30. We are in need of volunteers so if you are available please come and help out. There will be a need for help throughout the morning.

This is a busy week with Red Ribbon Week spirit days, Halloween and our Leadership Assembly.

10/28 – Red Shirt and Jeans Day

10/29 – Crazy Socks

10/30 – Crazy Hair

10/31 – Halloween Costume - We will have a Halloween Parade on the playground and hope you will join us.

11/1 – Twin Day - We will also have our Leadership Flag Salutes for 3rd-5th at 8:15 and for TK-2 at 9. Teachers will let you know if your child is being recognized.

On Wednesday, our School Site Council will meet at 7:30 AM to discuss the School Plan for Student Achievement, which includes our Title 1 budget. We will also approve our Family Engagment plan and Home/School Compact. Anyone is welcome to join the meeting and if you want to join on Google meet here is the code - meet.google.com/knv-ijdv-cue

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, dedicated to raising awareness of the harm bullying causes. On October 9, 2024, National Stop Bullying Day encourages everyone to stand up against bullying and work to put an end to it. This month, more than ever, use your voice to highlight the dangers of bullying and the impact associated with it!
