Back to School - Distance Learning Survey/ Encuesta de Aprendizaje a Distancia de Regreso a la Escuela

Greetings McAllen ISD Families,


An important survey has been added to your Skyward account. Your participation in this survey will help our District know how we can best support you and your students as we begin the school year with 100% remote learning on August 24. The survey includes information regarding:

  • student devices
  • internet connectivity
  • school-day supervision
  • school meals
To complete this survey, please login to your Skyward account. You will find a message in the message center at the top of the page. Click on the link to complete the survey. Detailed instructions are attached. Please complete this survey no later than August 5.

First Day of Distance Learning: August 24th!
Beginning of School Year Student Procedures

*Face coverings are required when stopping by McAllen High School*

(Clarification for Equipment Drop-Off and Textbooks)

Band and Athletics will be calling you with a specific time if you did not return any items from last year. If you do not get a call, you are clear. No need to stop by the campus if you do not receive a call.


Textbook drop off will be extended till Aug 10th-14th; from 9-4. There will be a drop off box located in front of the campus and books will get collected and scanned. Please wait for direct contact from school/teacher regarding any textbooks for the upcoming school year.

The top tip: Wash your hands. Why? Viruses can spread from person to person via respiratory droplets. When an infected person coughs or sneezes, close contacts can be infected. In addition, the virus can end up on doorknobs, elevator buttons and other surfaces. If you touch those surfaces and then touch your eyes, nose or mouth, you can become infected.
