Your Invited: Community Forum
We are excited to invite you and your family to a meaningful evening on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (RCS) High School Library! In partnership with the Town of Coeymans, RCS is hosting a community forum focused on the power of volunteerism and how we can work together to make a positive impact.
This event will take place from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM and is designed to bring students, families, and community members together to explore volunteer opportunities, build character, contribute to strengthening local organizations, and improve the community as a whole.
This is an exciting opportunity for everyone in our community — students, families, and community members — to share ideas, connect with others, and take action toward building a stronger, more engaged community.
Space is limited, so please be sure to complete the registration form below if you’d like to attend. Once registered, you’ll receive an email confirmation by Thursday, January 23rd.
We look forward to seeing you and working towards uniting and empowering our community!

Information Regarding Closings and Delays
With winter quickly approaching, we would like to remind families about the protocols that have been established for school closings, delays, and early dismissals, as well as the cancellation of extra-curricular activities.
In the event that weather impacts the school day in any way, we use several information vehicles to communicate with parents and community members. School closings, delayed openings, and early dismissals resulting from weather conditions or other emergency situations will be provided to the media, posted on our District website and social media sites, announced through the RCS App, and directly communicated to guardians by phone, email, and text. School is open on its usual schedule unless otherwise announced. This information can be found on our website here.
Who to Contact and When
The Who to Contact and When Guide was put together to connect the community with the most knowledgeable and direct person for concerns or questions. When looking for assistance, please start at level 1 and move up through the levels if that person is unable to provide you with the assistance you need. The Board of Education will become involved, if necessary, in the final stage of the process. The Board may be contacted via District Clerk at (518) 756-5200 ext. 6000 or sstar@rcscsd.org. Check out the guide here and on the second page of the 2024-25 RCS Printed Wall Calendar.
