Happy Saturday Eagles!

We had an awesome week at Clyde Erwin! Thank you to our Enrichment Team, instructional assistants, and parent volunteers for helping with the Fun in the Sun PBIS celebration on Friday. The students had a blast, and we had more students attend this celebration than the one in August. That means we have more students doing their best to SOAR! We are very proud of their hard work.

Our students in grades 3-5 completed their first math comprehensive assessment this week. We will use that data to plan individualized instruction for the second quarter in mathematics.

Intercession

Fall intercession is here! Students are out for their Fall intercession break September 16 - October 3, 2019. Students return on Friday, October 4. Enjoy your break!

Make-up Days

Onslow County Schools announced two make-up days due to days missed during Hurricane Dorian. Students will attend school on Friday, October 4, which was a teacher workday and is now a student day. Students will also attend school on Friday, January 3, 2020, which was a teacher workday and is now a student day. Please make adjustments to your calendars.

Employment as a Bus Driver

There is currently a bus driver shortage in Onslow County Schools. The pay is $14.14 per hour, and you can apply at www.onslow.k12.nc.us. The next bus driver class is offered September 23, 24, and 25. For additional information, feel free to call 910-455-5037.

Open House and Report Card Pick-Up

Go ahead and mark your calendars for Open House and Report Card Pick-Up on Thursday, October 10, 5:00-6:00pm. Report cards will be available for pick-up, and you are welcome to visit classrooms and have brief meetings with teachers. Teachers are scheduling conferences with all parents during the first quarter.

We review our behavior expectations with students regularly so they can show school pride at CEES and earn Class DoJo points.
