Dear EWRSD Community,
As we embark on the start of a new school year, I'm filled with excitement and optimism about the endless possibilities that await us. To our students, parents, teachers, staff, and members of the EWRSD community, I extend a warm welcome back to school!
For our youngest learners, especially those starting kindergarten, this marks the beginning of a magical adventure and an exciting time filled with wonder, discovery, and growth. Kindergarten is a uniquely special experience, where curiosity is encouraged, friendships are formed, and a love of learning is cultivated.
To our heroic teachers, thank you for the passion and dedication you bring into the classroom each and every day. Your tireless efforts in preparing for this new year, from organizing classrooms, to planning lessons, are truly appreciated. You are the heart of our schools, and your commitment to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment is what makes our district so special for children.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our bus drivers who safely transport our students every day, ensuring they begin and end their day with a friendly smile. To our custodians, thank you for keeping our buildings clean, safe, and welcoming. Your work often goes unseen but is vital to the success of our school community.
A special thank you to our staff and administrators, who have worked diligently behind the scenes during the summer to ensure everything is in place for a smooth start to the year. Your efforts in planning, coordinating, orienting new staff, and maintaining our schools during the summer months are what enable us to open our doors with confidence and excitement.
This year, we look forward to continuing to build bridges and strengthening connections to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Let’s make this year one of engagement, opportunity, and achievement for all.
