ASB Food Drive Ends Nov 19th
ASB's Annual Food Drive ends on Tuesday, November 19th. Items needed include: canned vegetables, dry cereals, boxed mac and cheese and other non-perishables.
Fall Dance Concert: Nov 19 - 21
Please join us for our Fall Concert entitled 'In Their Shoes." This evening's production is a culmination of work by students in the Valhalla dance program, our performance experts, and program director, Ms. Tiffany Domingo. Please enjoy a night where history meets dance. Please arrive early.
**Doors open at 6:30pm and doors will close to start the show at 7:00pm
District Marching Band Showcase: Nov 21st
Our Valhalla Vanguard Marching Band will be performing at the District Fall Showcase this Thursday, November 21st. The show starts at 6:00pm, general admission is $15, $5 for students and seniors. VIP tickets are $25. Tickets can be purchased in advance at eastcountymusic.org.
Winter Choir Concert
Valhalla Vocal Music's winter choir concert is Friday, December 6th, 7:00pm at First United Methodist Church in Mission Valley. More than 120 students will be performing at this concert, with a focus on music from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
PTO Teacher Grants
Several teachers applied for the annual PTO Teacher Grant and we were honored to have our PTO President, Shani Dillon, deliver the grants to four deserving teachers today:
🔹Coach Upham: equipment to enhance the weightroom
🔹Ms. Naah: custom shirts for our CTE Teaching interns
🔹Mr. Morales: materials for AP World History activities
🔹Ms. Norby: supplies to support our Safe School Ambassadors program
We are proud to call these outstanding teachers Norsemen and are grateful to have parents supporting our amazing programs.

Valhalla Worthy Award
Counselor Anne Holechek received this week’s Valhalla Worthy Award. Ms Holechek was recognized for her collaborative efforts organizing school-wide events and initiatives that support students. Thank you for consistently exemplifying our values of excellence and valor.

College Application Help - Extended Hours
Counselors will be available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week during 6th and 7th period to help seniors with college applications. Stop by the counseling office for help before the break. We can review your apps before you submit and answer any questions you have. As a reminder, UC and CSU applications are due on December 2nd, the day we return from break.

College & Career Visits
Throughout the semester, we will have a variety of college representatives visiting Valhalla to meet with our students. Visits are held in the counseling office and students of all grade levels are welcome to attend. Just visit our College and Career Reps Visit page and fill out a quick Google Form to sign up. Sign up forms will close one hour before the event (unless specified). Students will be sent a pass to attend and are responsible for communicating with teachers regarding any missed class time/work.
