3rd Grade / Fall, 2019
Happy Fall!
I hope that everyone has settled into the routines of the 2019-2020 school year. I can not believe it is already October! We have a lot of things to accomplish this year in Room 604, but with hard work and perseverance, I'm certain these kids can do just about anything!
Conservation Biologists!
This year 3rd graders are tackling some big issues ...endangered animals, biodiversity, and conservation. We are in the process of figuring out if we will be able to publish a 'real' book about our topic. We saw some examples today and are going to do a little investigating to see what we need to do to make this happen. The students are SUPER EXCITED about this prospect. Stay tuned!!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
As many of you know, our big event for the year is the Humble ISD Gifted and Talented (GT) Expo. The Expo is a great opportunity to showcase student work and share our learning with others. This year the Expo will be held on Tuesday, March 3, which is quite a bit earlier than the past several years. As the date draws closer I will provide more information about this energy packed event!
Communication
Please know that I am here to help you and your student in any way that I can. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call or email.
HAPPY FRIDAY!
