We are very fortunate to have a Family Resource Coordinator. Her name is Denise Kane. She hosts a pre-school playgroup on Tuesdays and Thursdays at RPC. The playgroup is a great way to connect with other parents and foster friendships. We created a new space that we can't wait for the families to see!!

Mrs. Kane is at RPC on Tuesdays and Thursday. She is at Cherry Lane Elementary School on Monday and Wednesday. If you are in need of school supplies, please contact her. She can also connect families with local organizations. Her email address is dkane@sufferncentral.org.

The staff and students at R.P. Connor Elementary School will be participating in various safety drills this year. The students participate in fire, high wind and lockdown drills. The purpose of the drills is to prepare our students and staff for any emergency that may occur where it may be necessary for us to evacuate or hold in place.

In preparation for the drills, staff will tell students that we are practicing being safe. Staff members will also inform students that during the drill an announcement will be made prompting everyone to follow our school drill procedures, and that this is simply a practice.

Safety is our top priority at R.P. Connor Elementary school. We conduct drills because we want students and staff members to feel safe and develop an awareness of their roles in these various scenarios.

Please remember to review the drop off procedures. The car pick up line in the afternoon gets backed up if parents arrive without letting us know. To ensure a smooth dismissal, please let the office know by 2pm if you are making a change. Please try and keep it as consistent as possible.

CHANGE OF CLOTHES

Spills and accidents can happen at school. Please send in a complete change of clothes in a Ziploc bag, with your child’s name to keep in your child's backpack. (T-shirt, pants, underwear, socks)

The District offers breakfast and lunch daily, free of charge. The lunch menu is located on the Suffern Central Website. Students will need to know their pin code in order to receive meals. Your child's teacher gave your child a card with their meal code on it. To help us speed up the breakfast/lunch line, please encourage your child to memorize their meal code. The teachers sent the codes home on the 1st day of school. If your child is getting breakfast in the morning, please put the code in their pocket or attached to their backpack for easy access.

Proper hydration is very important. We have refillable water stations throughout the building. Please send your child to school with a refillable water bottle.

Don't forget to label your child's belongings. Water bottles, lunch boxes, even jackets! You would be surprised how quickly the lost and found fills up!

We are VERY excited to share the 24-25 PTA Meeting schedule. This year we have both a remote and an in person option. The PTA is also hoping to offer daycare for those who need it. Please join us for as many as you are able. PTA Meetings are a great way to make friends and learn about what's happening in our schools.
