In the Loop

As we continue to provide updates on work related to the December 2022 bond referendum, I want to share an update from Jeremy Dawson, project manager.

Project Progression

- Half of the exterior wall lights around the building have been replaced

- Contractors are preparing to build a concrete pad for the new emergency generator

- The majority of demolition in Boiler Rm 39A/B is complete and has begun installation of the new boilers and hot water system equipment. They have also begun demolition of the hot water system equipment in Boiler Rm 49A, so far removing the abandoned domestic water heat exchanger, heating pumps, and piping

- Replacing cabinet unit heaters in hallways throughout the building is in progress

- Contractors have begun renovations in the D wing bathrooms (41 A & B)

- New chillers are expected to ship in August

We continue to plan out how work will progress over the summer as scheduling and delivery dates become available
