Principal's Message
Welcome to 2025! All of us at Moore Elementary hope you had an amazing holiday break and you were able to get some rest and enjoy family time.
This year is going to be full of the "Gs"—growth, gratitude, and greatness. I’m excited to see our students return, refreshed and ready to embrace the opportunities ahead. As we dive into the year, we’ll focus on the growth that comes from new experiences, skills, and learning, while fostering gratitude for the progress we make, big and small. Most importantly, we’ll aim for greatness, not just in academic achievements, but in the mindset, effort, and perseverance that propel us forward.
We are particularly looking forward to seeing our students daily, as consistent attendance is crucial to their learning and essential in closing achievement gaps. Every day in the classroom counts, and it’s through regular attendance that we can truly make strides in helping each student reach their full potential. Together, let’s build a year where every student is empowered to succeed, and where we celebrate the journey of growth and learning every step of the way.
Let’s make 2025 a year of limitless potential and success!
Happy New Year!
Mrs. Hignight

5th Grade Vinyl Prints
Please note: Once the vinyl is purchased, you will need to fill out the form that is on the emailed receipt. This will give us the student's name and their icon choices. If you don't go in and fill out the form, we won't know what name they want on it.
Marquee Birthdays
Student birthdays on the marquee can be purchased via SchoolCash. We can schedule birthdays that occur over breaks and over the summer when purchased in advance. This is a fun way to recognize your child's birthday! The graphic will be on the marquee as part of the rotating graphics. It will post the day of their birthday and remain in rotation for 48 hours. The cost is $20.00 and all funds support PBIS. This will be ongoing all year! If you choose, you can take a picture of your student next to the marquee!
SMART WATCHES
We know that Santa may have brought smart watches to some of our students. While these may be worn to school, we wanted to remind everyone of rules for smart watches. While at school, smart watches may only be use for telling time and not to record, text, or call. If the smart functions of the watch are being used at school, it will be collected and a parent will have to come to the school to pick it up. This is also our procedure for students using cell phones at school. Thank you for preparing your child if they choose to wear a smart watch to school that they may not call, text, record, or play games on it while at school.
