Positivity notes! (from a colleague)
I received this email and wanted to share it with you all. I was reminded again that you ALL make a difference DAILY! Even when you think you are just surviving, know that your colleagues believe in you and what you are doing to enrich the life a child.
I don't know if you are still including those little tidbits about positive sightings throughout our school, but just wanted to give you one that I have been seeing and would like to share.
I have gotten the opportunity to push into Tauri Ivey's room for success several times now and it is
SO interesting getting to watch her teach.
There are only positive vibes, and every kid is engaged in Mrs. Ivey's room. She puts her whole
personality out there for her kids to see and it is infectious. The kids have so much fun listening to
her teach, and so did I! It was a breath of fresh air to see such a different style of teaching and to
see a teacher open up like that with their kiddos. She is always encouraging those kids whether it
is because they did something well, or to help them get refocused; now her kids have picked up
this trait as well and are always looking for the positives in their classmates. No wonder why they
love her so much!
I would encourage everyone to go down and just walk through for a minute if they ever have
the chance. It is just really invigorating to see a teacher so energetic about teaching and having
so much fun with their students all the time. And it has literally been every time I have walked
in that room.
Just thought I would share.
