Your Feedback is Requested
Earlier this month, members of the SMCS community were invited to participate in a survey about successes and opportunities at St. Mary Catholic Schools. This survey is one of the first steps in a plan for a secure financial future for our schools. If you have not already completed the survey, please consider taking five minutes to share your opinions with us. Please click here to take the survey and feel free to share this link with anyone else connected with SMCS. We want to reach a wide audience of SMCS stakeholders.
Host an International Student
St. Mary Catholic High Schools partners with several international student programs to bring international students into our school and your family.
- Host families provide a room (can be shared), meals when not in school, some transportation to school events and lots of love and support!
- International students who come from an approved program have their own spending money and full health insurance.
- Host families are eligible for a tax deduction for hosting.
- Learn about another country as your student shares his/her culture with you!
- Students are 15-18 years old. They are from Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.
- Students live as a member of the host family (not a guest) and participate in family activities, respect host family rules, and help with chores.
Host families do not need to have a student at SMCS. Please pass this opportunity along to anyone you think may be interesting in opening their home. There is a $600 monthly stipend paid to host families and a $1500 tuition credit for SMCS families for hosting an international student.
Please reach out to Kelly Beisenstein-Weiss (kbweiss@smcatholicschools.org) if you are interested in hosting an international student for the 2023-2024 school year.
SMCHS/SMCMS Parking Lot Construction
Families who will be visiting the middle and high school campus this June will notice quite a bit of activity once school lets out for summer. Over the course of three weeks in June, the entire parking lot is being repaved. One entrance will remain open to the campus at all times during the repaving, but please be aware certain sections will be blocked off and the traffic pattern may change from day to day. Thanks for your patience as we complete this project and look forward to a fresh parking lot for fall!

Discipleship Digest
A message from Steve Pable, Director of Adult Discipleship Formation Catholic Parishes of Neenah & Menasha. Learn more about Steve's role here.
A few years ago, most of us learned to use Zoom for the first time. It took some getting used to, but we found we could communicate and collaborate in new ways. For some, it was a real lifeline in a time of isolation. Even amidst frustrations (“You’re muted!!!”), we could connect more creatively.
Maybe it’s time for a Zoom call with the Holy Trinity? This central mystery of our faith is the model of a life-giving relationship, a “communion of Persons” so intimate that the Three are truly One. It’s the life into which Jesus invites us – the ultimate fulfillment that we seek. God delights in drawing us closer. You’re not imposing on the Almighty’s schedule, and you won’t get a reaction like, “Oh, great, look who’s calling again…” The love of the Trinity overflows, and it is meant to be shared. As disciples, we get to be participants in and conduits of divine life and friendship!
Let’s renew ourselves in communion with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. May we be creative and joy-filled in our prayer, that the love of the Trinity may flow into all our relationships.
