And the Winner is......
WHAT A SHOW!!!!
Thank you family and friends for making the time, at such as busy time of the year to witness our spectacular Olympic Tribute.
This concert has been the culmination of months of hard work, patience, determination and commitment.
Iβd like to congratulate every one of our incredibly talented students.
I am so very proud of them all, for the time they dedicated to every class practice, their patience at every whole school rehearsal and the positive attitude they displayed toward every change and decision made about the performance. The talent and enthusiasm of our students was inspiring. I was blown away at the level of confidence they developed.
As a school we drew on the experience and expertise of teachers and admin staff, bringing together a performance that showcased the musical, dramatic, artistic and dance talents of our students.
Well done to everyone involved.
A production of this complexity doesnβt happen without a clear vision, strong leadership and a vivid imaginationβ¦..along with many sleepless nights.
Our teachers are simply amazing!!
They demonstrated an unbelievable amount of support for each other and worked tirelessly to produce an inclusive and engaging performance that Iβm absolutely sure you all found thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable. Their drive and self-belief over the past 10 weeks has been exciting to witness and a pleasure to share.
I would particularly like to thank and acknowledge some important key players.
Mrs Rigbyβ¦.Director extraordinaire!! Her leadership, vision and organisation of this concert has been relentless from committee meetings, auditions to staging to organising notes, rehearsals, and timetables. The list goes on. Thank you!
Mrs Micallef and Mrs Bozinoski for their work as supporting committee members.
Mrs Morrison who meticulously ordered and sourced all of the studentsβ costumes.
Mr Hill and Mr Kent for the video production of our Torch Ceremony and Welcome to Country.
Our amazing stagehands Mrs Pierou and Mr Cooper.
Miss Georgiou and Mrs DβArro our Student Learning Support Officers who ensured an inclusive performance.

Reports
Student Academic Reports will be sent home in Week 9.
This semester teachers have worked within a new platform to write student reports in line with the changing DoE Regulations.
For existing families you will see very little change, for new families you will see that your childβs report will include Stage indicator tick boxes (Achieved or Is Learning To) for all Key LearningAreas, comments and next steps for English and Mathematics, Effort marks, Scale marks and a General Comment.
Kindergarten will receive the same report but without the A to E grades.
If your child accesses English as a Second Language/Dialect (EAL/D) support, an additional component to the report will be available.
These reports will help you understand the progress your child is making at school and if additional learning support is needed. Please remember that this is a point in time.
These grades are different from the grades you might remember from your school years. The A to E system doesnβt rank your child in his or her class. Rather, the grades indicate whether your child is βon trackβ, and learning what is expected, doing better than expected or needs more help.
βCβ IS TO BE CELEBRATED.
The reports use an A-E grade for every subject that your child does at school.
C means that your child is βon trackβ in relation to what he or she is expected to learn. Other gradeswill indicate whether your child is doing better than expected or needs more help.
Grade C shows that the student has achieved all of the skills, values and knowledge intended bythe teacher when they planned the learning program for the semester. This student may haverequired extra revision or individual teaching but he/she has understood the concepts and hasdemonstrated achievement of the learning goals. Parents should not be worried about a childβsprogress if he or she has received this grade. Your child is on track in this area. His/herperformance is sound.
Grade B
shows that the student has performed very well with the work presented consistently achieving the skills, values and knowledge intended by the teacher when he/she planned the learning program for the semester. This student has demonstrated in all of the assessments anddaily tasks that there is no difficulty being experienced in meeting the learning goals. Your child is performing at a high level in this area.
Grade A
shows that the student is easily demonstrating the skills, values and knowledge intendedby the teacher when they planned the learning program for the semester. In fact the student is showing far more than has been required. Your child is performing at an outstanding level in this area.
Grade D
shows that the student is currently experiencing some diffi culty in achieving the skills, values and knowledge intended by the teacher when he/she planned the learning program for the semester. There are some gaps in the understanding of the concepts that have been taught during the semester and there is evidence that this has been occurring in daily tasks and in assessments.Your child is having some difficulty coping with the work in this area at this time.
Grade E
shows that the student is currently demonstrating a lot of difficulty in his/her daily class tasks and assessments. This student will most likely have had additional assistance from the school and will need ongoing support from home and school. Your child is fi nding learning very difficult at this time in this area.
While A to E grades are an important indicator of your childβs progress at school they are only part of the picture. Student reports will also include information on your childβs level of effort and teacher comments on progress.

End of Year Picnic
Our whole school Picnic Day will be on Monday 16 December. This is a staff and student event only. Please ensure you have returned permission notes, money and most importantly your childβs ability to swim. This is an excursion where water activities are involved. If the note is not returned, your child will not be able to participate.
All students are expected to attend as there will be no staff left behind at school.
Carols Concert
We would like to invite our parents and friends to our annual Carols Concert on Friday 13 December on Mana Ngurang (weather permitting).
The concert will start at 9.30am and each Stage will perform their favourite Carol. Please bring a blanket and come along and share in the festive spirit as we wind up together, another amazing year.
Student requirements
The beginning of each school year can be hectic and costly. To assist you in organising your child for 2025, we have collated a list for each stage with equipment and programs needing to be purchased which will be forwarded via email and in person by your child/children in Week 9.
Please DO NOT make any payments for next years fees or add credits to your account. School Bytes will be closed for payments until the students return in 2025.
The Resilience Project
Students across K-6 have almost finished all their Resilience Project lessons for the year. Below is a snap shot of some of the key concepts that have been spoken about throughout the year that you may like to reinforce over the school holidays.
