WMS Friday Forecast
January 25, 2019 - Week 20
Wredling Parents:
We have a lot of kids missing instruction because they are late to school. Starting Monday we are going to crack down on tardies. Everyone starts fresh, but here is what will happen:
The office will mark any student tardy who comes in after 8:30 AM
Teachers need to mark students tardy who walk into their room after 8:30 AM
If a student comes in after 8:30 AM, and a teacher has already marked them absent, the teacher needs to change their attendance to tardy.
When kids get 3 tardies, they get a 30 minute after school detention
For each 3rd tardy after, they get a full hour after school detention
We will run detentions Monday through Friday.
If students are chronically late, we will develop some alternative consequences for them.
Please help us make sure your child arrives at school each day on-time!

We are going to start Morning Yoga for our students at Wredling. Why yoga?
Yoga helps kids to:
- Develop body awareness
- Learn how to use their bodies in a healthy way
- Manage stress through breathing, awareness, meditation and healthy movement
- Build concentration
- Increase their confidence and positive self-image
- Feel part of a healthy, non-competitive group
- Have an alternative to tuning out through constant attachment to electronic devices

8th Grade course Registration:
This week our 8th graders met with their high school counselors to finalize their courses for Freshman year. If your 8th grader missed this opportunity, please don’t worry, as next Thursday, January 31st, the high school will conduct make up sessions in the morning to be sure that all students have completed this process. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Dague at Michelle.dague@d303.org or Mrs. Cwinski at Kirsten.cwinski@d303.org.
A huge thank you to parents, students, 8th-grade teachers, Mrs. Bowgren, Mrs. Morrison, and the St. Charles East and North counselors and administration for your support in this effort, as it was a huge success!
