Fall Break Update (November 2024)

Blessings for Fall Break

Well we made it to the Fall Break and over two months of the school year have already been completed. We are grateful for all the support from the parents to make everyday a successful one at Legal School.

As a reminder, Fall Break is coming up. On Monday, November 11th, schools will be closed on Remembrance Day, followed by Fall Break commencing on Tuesday, November 12th, until Friday, November 15th.

Why do we have Fall Break? The reprieve is intended to support staff and students mental health, easing stress and enhancing wellness. A Fall Break benefits mental health by reducing stress and offering a quick reset and refresh, and this approach has been adopted by numerous post-secondary institutions and school jurisdictions.

When we return back to school after the break, the Season of Advent and Christmas will be just around the corner and we look forward to the celebrations that are upcoming. Watch for the typical weekly update after the break to come out on November 15th. Enjoy the next week off with the kids at home and take a chance to allow your shoulders to drop, it has been a busy fall!

Remembrance for the Month of November!

During the month of November we recognize and pray for all our loved ones that have departed. If you have any loved ones to send to our book of Reembrance send names to your chhild's teacher. We also will be displaying all the pictures handed in so we can all take a moment to reflect on and commemorate our loved ones who have passed. Pictures will be put in picture frames and afterward will be added to our book of Remembrance.

Remembrance Day Liturgy

Thank you to Mr. Kary & Mr. Antal along with the JH students for leading the staff and students of Legal School through a beautiful Remembrance Day Service and Liturgy this morning.

Today we prayed for all who are the victims of aggression throughout the World, and we pray especially for all who are involved in conflict, past, and present.

Father Ambrose reminded us today that we need to continue to pray for peace especially with everything going on in the Middle East. This is a time to pray for peace and to reflect on what we, as individuals, are doing to bring about God’s Peace in the world.

Be sure to pause for the remembrance of the fallen soldiers and those that continue to serve so many on November 11th. Lest We Forget!
