Creekfest Color Run
It’s time to lace up for the annual Creekfest COLOR RUN! Grade level run times and volunteer opportunities can be found in Mrs. Madore’s weekly newsletter. All students are required to return this signed permission slip to their homeroom teacher to be able to participate in the Color Run during the school day! The deadline for returning all permission slips is Thursday, February 20th.
COLOR RUN DETAILS:
- The colored powder used during the color run is made from high quality cornstarch, food dyes, and baking soda. All materials are 100% FD&C and/or D&C approved. The powder is gluten free and doesn’t contain dairy, nuts, wheat, soy or other common allergens.
- The color will wash out of MOST clothing, but it can stain some materials so 100% cotton clothing and old tennis shoes are recommended.
- We are asking that all students bring an old t-shirt to wear over their Creekfest shirt during the
- color run. The colors show up best on white!
- Wearing old tennis shoes is also recommended.
- CFES will provide masks & sunglasses for all students to cover their faces and eyes.
- Students will have 30 minutes to run through color stations, obstacles, and take class pictures.
- Students are welcome to bring a change of clothes for after the run if needed.
- Color Free Zone will be available for students who don’t want to participate - please let your teacher know if your child would prefer to spend the run time there.
Please RSVP if you plan on attending the Color Run.

Life Principle of the Week: Courtesy
Courtesy means using good manners and being kind.
"Be kind to all things big and small."
Call Back: Kindness starts with me!
Celebration: Unicorn - You're Magical!
Expectation #8: We will practice virtuous living, using the Life Principles.
- We encourage all students to bring a picnic lunch from home to enjoy on Field Day (only sack lunches will be available for purchase in the cafeteria)
- Due to Field Day ending so late in the day, all Kindergarten, First and Second Grade students will be required to return to the classroom for regular dismissal at the conclusion of Field Day activities. We appreciate your assistance with this, as making sure all students arrive home safely is our number one priority. Please allow your child to go home by their regular mode of transportation.
- On Field Day, we are unable to accommodate requests for any student early dismissals or transportation changes after 2:00 PM.
- Please complete the RSVP form if you plan to attend your child’s field day on or before Monday, March 3rd.
On March 18th Creekside Forest will welcome author Aaron Reynolds. All the students will have a chance to see a presentation by the popular author of Creepy Carrots. Please see the attached flyer if you would like to order signed books. Also, Mr. Reynolds will sign books that you already own! Please label the books with your name and teacher, then drop them by the Library by March 4th .
