JCMS has several club opportunities for students to get involved! Below are a list of the current opportunities available. Please note that any student that participates in a club activity should have prior arrangements made for how they will get home after the meeting ends.

• Panther Perspective Media and Technology Club: Are you interested in media or technology? The Panther Perspective Media and Technology Club will have its 1st informational meeting on August 27th after school until 4:00 PM. Students must have a permission slip completed in order to attend. Permission slips can be obtained in the Library. See Ms. Evans if you have any questions!
  
• Builder's Club will begin meeting on Wednesday, September 4th. The Builder's Club part of the Kiwanis organization and participates in a variety of volunteering opportunities within the Jennings County community. More information will be released shortly from Mrs. Kelley on how to join Builder's Club!
• Game Club will begin on Monday, September 16th after school from 3:15 - 5:00 PM. Permission slips will be made available shortly from Mr. Tyler in room 26.
• "Paw"sitive Panthers Club is a club that works to create uplifting campaigns, activities, and projects for JCMS! If you enjoy making others smile and being kind, join the group for their first meeting on Wednesday, September 4th after school until 4:15 PM in Room 14. See Mrs. Galyen or Mrs. Roll for more information!

On Saturday, September 21st from 8:00 - 11:00 AM, Families and individuals will be able to meet local health and fitness providers, take advantage of several free screenings and low cost labs that are available, watch a live cooking demonstration, and enter to win several door prizes!

Calling all future Panther Cheerleaders in grades Pre-K through 6th to come cheer with our JCMS Cheerleaders! Registrations are due Friday, August 30th.

This school year, JCSC will be apart of a checkpoints pilot through the Department of Education. These checkpoints are a new component of the new LEARN through-year assessment for English/Language Arts (ELA) and Math. These checkpoints will take place in Fall, Winter, and Spring. Each checkpoint has 20-25 questions and will show how your child is doing in key skills and concepts from the Indiana Academic Standards. Attached is a flyer informing on what students will be testing over for each checkpoint.
