UK COACHING
Everything under this heading will provide information on UK Coaching.
UK Coaching are the UK's provider of coaching qualifications, their aim is to develop and inspire coaches at all levels of the game. They also provide resources for SEN sport, coaching in alternative provisions and safeguarding.
They strive to help coaches with their professional development and this includes putting on workshops and refresher courses as well as providing qualifications. Some of the workshops include 'Building Confidence', 'Safeguarding', 'Equity in Coaching', 'Inclusive activity programme', 'Behaviour Change Tactics', and 'What is Talent'.
SPORT ENGLAND
Sport England are an organisation, funded by the national lottery, that has set out to increase participation across all sports and forms of physical activity in order to promote an active, healthy lifestyle.
Sport England invest money into other organisations in order to create better opportunities and to tackle inactivity. Some examples of what they do and how they do it can be found below.
YOUTH SPORT TRUST
Youth Sport Trust are a charity organisation that aim to develop sport for young children, one of the five target groups that have less participants involved in sport.
Since 1995 YST have been at the heart of improving children's lives through sport. 'Believing in every child's future' - sets out how we will harness the power of sport, play and physical activity to tackle the challenges of a new generation.
