Dear Parents and Carers
School Events
We received a wonderful comment from a parent who said that her son was so excited and happy about participating in the cross-country event on Thursday last week and then having the opportunity to purchase a gift for his mum from the Mother’s Day stall, just made his week. It is the efforts of staff and parents that enhance the educational experience of our students and that build our sense of community. I would especially like to thank Mr King and our staff for their efforts in ensuring a well-run cross-country event and to the parents for their assistance at the end in taking down our new faction tents and helping us to pack up. Also, a very big thank you to our P&F for organising and running the Mother’s Day stall. There was a large variety of gifts from which to choose and the children were very happy with their purchases.
Golden Time
Our students also participated in many fun activities across the school yesterday, for Golden Time. Golden Time is for those students who retain good standing points over a half term and are treated to an hour to pursue an interest in an activity being run by one of our staff members. This is a way we incentivise and reward good behaviour choices.
A few reminders - Early Years
A reminder to all Kindy and Pre-Primary parents that if you are collecting your child from Kindy or Pre-Primary and you have children in other years, the children in older year levels will be told to wait in Kiss and Drive for you to collect them and not in the Early Years area.
Children are not allowed to play on play equipment before school and a parent or adult carer must wait with their Kindy or Pre-Primary child until the classroom doors open at 8.30am. Kindy and Pre-Primary children are not to be left in the charge of their older siblings.
Confirmation
On Sunday some of our Year 6 students will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. We thank their teachers, Mrs Henery and Miss Smith for preparing them so well to receive the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit at this Mass. Thank you also to all staff who will be supporting our students on Sunday in this important step in their faith journey. We ask as a community that you especially keep these students in your prayers.
God bless you all.
