NAMS Message to Families 3/29/24
NA Supports Savannah! The Power of Purple!
Thank you to all of the NA Staff and Students for supporting our 6th grader Savannah by wearing purple yesterday! You may find pictures received from NAMS and other schools here.
MCAS - Let's work together!
NAMS has seen significant improvements in our MCAS scores thanks to our dedicated educators, our amazing students, and our partnership with you - our families!
You can continue your support in the following ways:
Be sure to encourage your child to have a good night’s sleep prior to their scheduled MCAS exam.
Students must charge their Chromebooks overnight so that they are fully charged for MCAS testing.
We encourage all students and families to make a concerted effort to be at school on time prior to their scheduled MCAS exam, by 7:45 a.m. Tardy students may not have the opportunity to test with their homeroom group if they arrive after the start of testing for that day.
Please be sure that your child has a healthy breakfast.
Students must bring a book or magazine to read after they have completed their test. No electronic devices will not be allowed.
Cell phones and other electronic devices, including smart watches, are not permitted during the testing sessions. Cell phones and smart watches should be locked in lockers or will need to be given to the test administrator to hold during testing.
If a student is absent, he/she/they should expect to be scheduled for a make-up exam when they return to school.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation and support.

Cradles to Crayons Clothing Drive (Monday, March 25th until Friday, April 5th)
Cradles to Crayons Clothing Drive (Monday, March 25th until Friday, April 5th)
Hello NAMS! My name is Alex Havemeyer (8th grade), and I am this year’s Project 351 Ambassador. Project 351 is a non-profit organization that gives 8th grade students a leadership opportunity to better help those around us and those in Massachusetts.
As a part of our spring service project, this year, we are partnering with Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit clothing organization that helps face kids' clothing insecurity. Around 1 in 3 kids in the state of Massachusetts face/are at the risk of having concerns regarding clothing. Their mission is to lower that number and make sure that all kids are confident and worry-free!
This year, we are collecting like-new or new clothing including shirts, pants, hats, jackets, new PJ’s, and new underwear, ranging from sizes newborn - adult medium. Respectfully, please do not donate any shoes, anything with rips, tears, pilling, stains, or religious/family/inappropriate dialogue.
The boxes that will hold donations will be in the Main Lobby and also in the back entrance by the fitness/wellness room. This drive will run from Monday, March 25th until Friday, April 5th.
With your help, we can help lower the 1:3 ratio of kids facing clothing insecurity and make sure that all kids are safe, healthy, and most importantly, happy.
Project 351, Cradles to Crayons, and I greatly appreciate your kindness!
