Good evening!

I am not even sure what to say about the IMAPCT we made this week. Our Veterans Day celebration was absolutely magical. Our students left me ENCHANTED (my one word), and it made an IMPACT (our school's one word). I just get chills thinking about it. My heart so was completely full of pride for the veterans that attended, for our staff that organized the event, and for our students who performed and attended. There was amazing music, perfect student work, and lots of Schmucker Pride.

Shout out to the staff that made it all happen; Mr. Carnall, Mrs. Carnall, Ms. Hills, Mrs. Hipsher, Mrs. DuBois, Mrs., Schuster, Mrs. Dekever and Ms. Demske. I am in awe of all of these adults.

This is just another example of the great things happening because of great adults and all for great kiddos. If you have not felt it recently, we have a really good thing here and I am so glad to be a part of it.

Saturday, November 11 is Veterans Day, but on Friday, November 10 P-H-M students across the district learned not only about the history of Veterans Day, but why we honor our nation's men and women who served in the armed forces. Having students participate in academic experiential learning experiences broadens the scope of their education. Thank you to all those in our community who've served.

Schmucker Spellers Place in the Top 10 at States!

Region Honor Orchestra

We had 10 students in the all region honor orchestra. Hannah Cramer was first chair in the top group. They all represented SCHMUCKER amazingly well all day!

Sparty Party - All School FUNdraiser

On Wednesday, students will bring home information about our Sparty Party, which is our all school fundraiser for the 2023-2024 school year. The cost is $30 and each student receives a Schmucker t-shirt and access to our grade-level Sparty Party on December 20, 2023. The party is during the school day and we will have staff members in a dunk tank, a DJ, photo booth, inflatable obstacle course with climbing wall, and more fun. There will also be a special $100 raffle drawing for any student whose family donates $50 or more. You will one raffle ticket for each $50 donated. Tickets will be on sale until November 21, 2023, so that we may order t-shirts and students will have them for the day of the party. We will sell tickets again the week before the party for $30, but students will not receive a t-shirt during that sale. The funds that we raise go directly to our students for programs and events that benefit all students. Please watch for the information coming home.

Ski Club

Parents, ski club sign-up will begin on Monday night, Nov. 6th. Space is limited. A parent information meeting will be on Nov. 6th at 5:30 in the Schmucker IMC. The link for sign-up and all required paperwork will be posted on the SMS website on Monday, Nov. 6th. Hard copies will be available in the SMS office beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 8th. Penn Volleyball Rec League

Register today for the Independent Feeder Program! Penn Volleyball for grades 3rd-8th will host rec league volleyball teams through NIVA, the local volleyball club.
