CCA Husky Happenings

We hope you all had a sensational break! We are ready for everyone to return for a fabulous spring semester!

We welcome scholars on Tuesday, January 8, as we help prepare for the semester and plan for the future.

We would like to welcome parents to an information meeting on Thursday, January 10, 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. We want you to know how to help your child be successful as well as how hold your child accountable for their assignments. The CCA Parent Booster Club will also be there to provide parent perspectives and will end the meeting with election of a new board.

Herff Jones will be here to present options for class rings at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 9. You will receive a packet with ordering information or can order online at www.hjtexan.com.

All CCA students take college courses based upon their degree plan. Degree plans may be found on the ECHS Designation Information page of the CCA website.

Books from Fall semester must be turned in ASAP!

Special note: 9th Graders will be taking two college courses this semester, including

- BCIS 1305 is a course about Microsoft Office products and requires daily online practice

- either KINE 1164 (kinesiology, anatomy and physical education) or DRAM 1310 (theater)

We will be recruiting our next cohort for the 2019-20 school year very soon! Please pass along the word to friends and relatives of current 8th & 9th grade students in CISD. Watch the CISD website for applications to open.

Special Note: Current CCA scholars will NOT complete an application. Please make sure you have returned your Intent Letter for 2019-20.

Scholars may earn an exemption for each high school semester final by having NO Unexcused Absences and maintain an 85 Average for the 4th, 5th & 6th Six Week grades. Each high school course will use this district criteria for determining semester final exemption.

Exempted students must be in attendance the two class periods before the final and during the final exam. District guidelines will be posted in our hallway for all students to view this semester.
