Wampatuck Wave
A Newsletter for Families and Caregivers 9/12/2022
New Website
We are sending this issue of the Wampatuck Wave via Aspen because we have found that many families have not yet signed up for our website/app. Please note that this is the only issue of the Wampatuck Wave that you will receive through Aspen. All other issues will be distributed via the website and the app. Please see below to sign up so you don't miss out on vital information!
Providing current, comprehensive information for our families is a top priority, and our new website and app are primary resources that are designed with you in mind. Our new website scit.org/wampatuck offers families a “one-stop shop” for the school calendar and information that is specific to our school. Please also check out the new Scituate Public Schools app where you can customize your preferences for alerts and news banners.
What is the difference between the website and the app? The app has news items and calendar events only, and our website scit.org/wampatuck is your resource for all information for our school and district.
Welcome
We had a wonderful first week of school at Wampatuck. It was filled with new friends, new teachers, new classrooms, new families, and new experiences. We welcomed the class of 2035 (kindergarten) and fourteen new families to our home away from home. Together we are going to have a great year.
I look forward to a wonderful year with you and your children! Please reach out to me should you have any questions or concerns at triordan@scit.org.

The committment will be 4 one hour meetings after school. Once we have the school council established we will determine together the day and whether or not we want to meet virtually or in person. Thank you for considering this opportunity.
Welcome Ms Caroline Carr, School Adjustment Counselor
Hello Wampatuck Community,
My name is Caroline Carr. I am a Masters level Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in Dance/Movement Therapy. I earned my masters degree from Lesley University. I have the great pleasure of working alongside your amazing Wampatuck team as the new school adjustment counselor.
I love the sea and outdoors, and I feel passionate about the power of healing through the connection between mind, body and world around us. At Wampatuck, I will support students learning about emotional identification, self-regulation, self-awareness and coping strategies through talking and movement. I am thrilled to be a part of this Community and can’t wait to spend time with you all this coming year. Best ways to contact me are through email at ccarr@scit.org. Let’s move.
