We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
I look forward to seeing many of you at our SOLD OUT Gaelic Gala tomorrow evening at the Quonset O Club! It will be a wonderful evening filled with music, food, and of course our silent and live auction items.
Not to worry if you're not able to join us in person tomorrow evening - you can still participate online! Firstly, over $16,000 in silent auction items are currently open for bidding online at our Auction Website which you can find on our school website or by clicking the link here. In addition, the musical performance by Fr. "O" Woolley and the Saints John and Paul Irish Band will be live streamed on the school and parish Facebook pages beginning at 7:15pm. Tune in and join us virtually! Please note, the silent auction closes promptly at 8:00pm.
As many of you know, the Annual Auction/Gala is our biggest fundraiser of the year and, over the past several years, has been tremendously successful in raising funds to redesign five classrooms with new furniture. This year, we're hoping to continue our classroom renovation projects with Mr. Perretta's and Mrs. Burns' classroom. Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity!

Spring Pictures this Tuesday!
Spring Pictures are this Tuesday! To ensure that your child is included in the photography session and to allow us to plan the photoshoot efficiently, we kindly ask that you register your child for the Spring Photos here and the unique code: FJSPRING by March 17th. Please keep in mind this is a session for Pre-K through 7th grade. Sibling photos are also an option for 8th graders that have younger siblings. Reminder: Little Fox will be back at the school for the 8th-grade "senior portraits" later in the spring.
FJVD Community Video
On Friday, March 22nd, a videographer will be visiting the school to begin production on a promotional video about our school community. With this in mind, we are asking all students to ensure they are in proper school uniform on the 22nd. In addition, students may be asked to remove spirit wear gear during filming.
Please note that filming will not be a significant disruption to class time, and family film/photography permissions will be strictly adhered to during filming.
Thank you!
FJVD Summer Camps 2024 - Register at the Link Below!
Father Doyle School is excited to be offering a range of summer camps this summer! This includes camps for all ages and interests.
You'll find descriptions of our camps here, with additional details and an initial registration link included. The deadline to register for summer camps is Thursday, April 11th; however, keep in mind camps do have limited space, so please register early!
Please note, all camps are subject to registration restrictions including minimum and maximum registration numbers. No family will be billed for camp registration until the camp is confirmed to run on the scheduled dates based on registration outcomes. Once a camp is confirmed to run, you will receive a separate email with payment instructions.
Lastly, please note that camps are open to all children who are enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year. Due to insurance and liability, we are not able to extend camp registration to non-students at this time. Thank you!
Annual Lenten Food Drive Continues Through March
The FJVD Annual Lenten Food Drive in support of the Coventry Food Bank continues throughout the month of March. Each week, students are asked to bring in a particular food item that is particularly in need at our local food bank. Next week (March 18th - March 22nd) students are asked to bring in cereal and juice. See the flyer (at right) for a full breakdown of food items by week. Thank you for your generosity and support!
Tell Us Something Good!
We are starting the fourth unit of our Friendzy program, with the catchphrase "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work." While students will be receiving instruction on the unit's themes, goals, and Biblical touch points, we also encourage you to follow up with these concepts at home! You can learn more about Unit IV, including topics and questions to discuss at home, by reading the Parent Letter here. As part of this unit, we're celebrating our students as a class. To help us do this, we're asking parents to share something AWESOME about their student! Have something to share? Complete the Google Form here!
As always, be assured of my prayers for you and your families.
God bless and Go Saints!
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin
