Bearcat Praises and new Faces
Thanks so much to Ana and Mrs. Navare for stepping up this week and covering in the office while we are getting readjusted. They have both done an incredible job making sure everything is taken care while we fill Galen's position. I am so thankful for both of them and for everyone's patience. I am happy to announce that I have hired someone to fill the position and she will be here next week to start learning the ropes. Her name is Kasie Simmons and she is currently working at GM Financial as a Data Relations Specialist in Arlington. Her and her family have recently moved to Pilot Point which is one of the main reason she wanted to join us. She also has a freshman at the high school. I am extremely excited to be bringing Kasie on and think she will be a great addition to our staff!
Thank you so much to our 5th grade team for the awesome Nacho Bar today! It's great to see them working together and doing this for the staff to build up our school community. The foundation of our school is FAMILY and I truly believe that we are coming together as a FAMILY. It doesn't feel like we are on grade level islands anymore :) Everyone is working together and building each other up to help all our kids! I also love hearing the laughing and conversations during lunch. Not that I'm spying on anyone :) but it's great to see our teacher lunchroom full and people enjoying fellowship with one another.
Thank you so much to Mrs. Crouch for all that she is doing in our music program. I am absolutely blown away by how fast she has been able to come in and do such an amazing job with our kids this early. You know that you are doing something right when other teachers are stopping to video your lessons during their conference :)
Thank you to Mrs. Wooten for putting together our literacy presentation for curriculum night. There was a lot of great information to help our parents build literacy at home which is something we definitely need their help with if our kids are going improve in reading.
Shoutout to Coach Freese and Coach Rohan for the awesome job they are doing in PE this year! They have all the kids up and participating in some excellent structured activities :) I appreciate both of them for all their hard work!
And lastly, thank you so much to all the teachers who came out this week for the curriculum night. I was really blown away by the number of teachers we had there and appreciate everyone who was able to stay. Again, that shows the true spirit of our campus this year in that we are all here for each other and our kids! Thanks again!
