On December 14th, the Manning Symphonic band will perform with Creighton MS and Lakewood HS in the Golden Holiday Parade. We will rehearse at Lakewood HS on Thursday 12/5 from 4:30-5:30.

Golden Holiday Parade Itinerary

Saturday, December 14th, 2024

Downtown Golden

8:00 AM - Arrive at Lakewood High School - Get into uniform

8:20 AM - Play through tunes and set block

8:45 AM - Depart LHS

9:15 AM - Arrive Golden Library

9:30 AM - Unload bus and equipment

9:45 AM - Find Location of parade start and Line Up, Play, Warm Up

10:30 AM - Parade Begins

11:30 AM - Parade Ends

12:00 PM - Load Buses

12:30 PM - Back to LHS for cookies and Hot Chocolate, put away equipment and uniforms, clean up

The parade route runs down Washington Ave. from 10th St. to 13th St. starting at 10:30 a.m.

Middle School Students - Wear Black Pants and the Marching Band shirt given to you at rehearsal. Wear a Santa Hat!

• If this day is chilly (it was last year) then you can layer up under your band shirt and bring gloves!

• A water bottle is a good idea for when we are warming up. We will have wagons for them to walk along us in the parade.

All Manning band students will be attending a music festival this spring. More information will come at a later time but here's what is available now:

The Beginning Band will be performing at the Jeffco Middle School Festival at Bell Middle School on Wednesday March 5th. Times will be announced at a later date.

The Symphonic and Concert band will be performing at the CBA MS Festival on Thursday March 27th at Englewood High/Middle School in Englewood. The Symphonic Band performs at 2:30pm and the Concert Band performs at 4:00pm. There will be a fun activity planned after these performances to celebrate this performance.

The Jazz Band will be performing at the UNC Greeley Jazz Festival on Friday April 25th. This is one of the biggest Academic Jazz festivals in the country! We will likely need to coordinate carpooling for this event, more info announced at a later date.
