A Message From The Principal
Class placement is a common topic of discussion among parents each spring. I wanted to share we approach class placement with great care, because it is so critical to ensure that each child is well-match with a skilled and caring teacher, and that each class is balanced in terms of factors such as learning styles, classroom performance, developmental levels, gender, peer relationships, social development, and class size. In order to ensure that each class is appropriately balanced, we have made class placement a staff decision, based on extensive discussion of each student. Each spring teams consisting of the principal, teachers, and support staff work collaboratively to create balanced groups of students. For these reasons, we will not be taking request for specific teachers.
We place great value on parent input about each child's personality and learning needs. Please reach out to Mrs. Pfeifer at jodi.pfeifer@uticak12.org if you have further information about your child that you would like to share, or if you have questions about our process.
Kindly,
Jodi Pfeifer
