The Hawk Connection
AMS Newsletter 24/25: Volume 14
Principal's Message
Hello, AMS Students and families,
Thank you to all families who participated in last Thursday evening's webinar regarding our new Hate Speech & Bias Policy/Procedure. For those unable to attend the live session, a recording is available for viewing as well as a PDF of the slides. This week, our students will be participating in related training sessions. I want to express my sincere appreciation to Mrs. Wolf and Mr. Lerner for their invaluable assistance in helping me to facilitate these important trainings.
Transition to 7 Periods 25-26 School Year:
As many have already heard, Anacortes Middle School is transitioning to a 7 period school day starting next year. We have been working hard to prepare for this transition for quite some time and want to provide periodic updates and resources to students and families. You will begin to see video uploads to our Hawk Connection Newsletters to provide brief bits of information as our planning develops. Please also know that we have a resource page on our AMS website as well, where FAQs will be posted. There is also a survey link available to submit questions that have not yet been answered.
