We want to give a HUGE shout out to you and our wonderful PTA. We had so much fun working together to complete this years Fun Run! THANK YOU! Our students had a blast!

The end of the term us upon us! Thank you for joining us for Parent Teacher Conference to celebrate your child. It is so fun to have you in the building and working together to support learning.

Halloween:

On Thursday, October 31st we are looking forward to celebrating Halloween. Students are welcome to wear their costumes to school, but may not bring any weapons. Our parade will start at 9:00 a.m. within the school. We invite you to bring chairs and sit outside the perimeter of the grass on the East field. We will be outside about 9:15. In case of inclement weather you may view the parade in the gym. Please see the map for guidance of where to sit.

I hope you all have a fantastic week and a safe Fall Break! We have an incredible community, and we appreciate your fantastic support!

¡Queremos dar un ENORME reconocimiento a ustedes y a nuestra maravillosa PTA! ¡Nos divertimos mucho trabajando juntos para completar la Carrera Divertida de este año! ¡GRACIAS! ¡Nuestros estudiantes lo pasaron genial!

¡El fin del trimestre está cerca! Gracias por acompañarnos en las Conferencias de Padres y Maestros para celebrar a su hijo. Es muy divertido tenerlos en el edificio y trabajar juntos para apoyar el aprendizaje.

Halloween:

El jueves 31 de octubre esperamos celebrar Halloween. Los estudiantes pueden venir con sus disfraces a la escuela, pero no pueden traer armas. Nuestro desfile comenzará a las 9:00 a.m. dentro de la escuela. Los invitamos a traer sillas y sentarse fuera del perímetro del césped en el campo Este. Estaremos afuera alrededor de las 9:15. En caso de mal tiempo, pueden ver el desfile en el gimnasio. Por favor, vean el mapa para saber dónde sentarse.

¡Espero que todos tengan una semana fantástica y un seguro Descanso de Otoño! ¡Tenemos una comunidad increíble y apreciamos su fantástico apoyo!

How You Can Support at Home

You can help reinforce this valuable trait at home by:

• Encouraging your child to try new things and praising their efforts.
• Sharing stories from your own life.
• Using the vocabulary words in daily conversations to help your child understand and internalize its meaning.

Our PTA is focused on building a positive school culture. We have monthly meetings held on the first Wednesday of each month @9:30-10:30 in our collaboration room. We will also have an evening meeting at 6:30. Our PTA is dedicated to building and supporting student learning. We are grateful for all they do to make learning fun!

Canyon Elementary PTA is in need of volunteers to help teach Junior Achievement Financial Literacy lessons in your children's classrooms. Please look on the attached google sheet to see if your child's class is in need of volunteers! All materials and lessons are prepared for you and just require a little bit of assembly. Without parent volunteers we will lose this program that is loved by students, teachers, and the PTA! We appreciate your willingness to help our school!

Nuestra PTA está enfocada en construir una cultura escolar positiva. Tenemos reuniones mensuales que se llevan a cabo el primer miércoles de cada mes de 9:30 a 10:30 en nuestra sala de colaboración. También tendremos una reunión por la noche a las 6:30. Nuestra PTA está dedicada a construir y apoyar el aprendizaje estudiantil. ¡Estamos agradecidos por todo lo que hacen para que el aprendizaje sea divertido!

La PTA de Canyon Elementary necesita voluntarios para ayudar a enseñar lecciones de Alfabetización Financiera de Junior Achievement en las aulas de sus hijos. ¡Por favor, revisen la hoja de Google adjunta para ver si la clase de su hijo necesita voluntarios! Todos los materiales y lecciones están preparados para ustedes y solo requieren un poco de ensamblaje. ¡Sin voluntarios padres, perderemos este programa que es amado por estudiantes, maestros y la PTA! ¡Apreciamos su disposición para ayudar a nuestra escuela!
