The Panther Prowl
Week of Nov. 25th - 26th
Mrs. Taylor's Message!
Thank you for your support of our school's Food Drive! We are excited about helping support local agencies through your generosity! With Thanksgiving week upon us, I wanted to share an Article & Activity I used to share with my Social Studies students around this time of year. The Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons tend to be times when families and friends are together to share meals and company. It is a great opportunity for our students to learn their family's story, to increase their resilience, and gratitude for people and events that have gotten them to this point.
Research shows that gratitude can improve overall health, enhance relationships, increase resilience, and boost academic performance. Gratitude practices are also associated with better sleep and physical health.
Please take the opportunity to read the article and ask your student if they know the answers to the questions provided. If not, take the opportunity to share those answers with your student. Not all answers have to be positive for them to benefit your student. Life offers all kinds of twists and unexpected turns, but your family's ability to persevere, demonstrate integrity, remain curious and show kindness are what will help launch your student into a hopeful future.
May your holiday season be filled with hope and happiness, safety and gratitude!
