On Read Across America Day, our Nation recognizes the value of literacy by celebrating books. Students participated and explored diverse perspectives thru books.

Students enjoyed activities created by their classroom teachers after listening to the read-aloud Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. After the read aloud they were treated to some donuts. Great job BEARS!

🌏 RYMS Bears Book Club Promotes H-E-B Earth Day Library Challenge
🌍 H-E-B partners up with RYMS Book Club 🌏
Students from the RYMB Book Club promote awareness by collecting over 1,500 bags and recycling trash bags. Thank you H-E-B for the opportunity!

🤩 Book Giveaway with Garza Peña Elementary 🤩
Students Book Giveaway collaboration with Garza Peña Elementary. Students from our RYMS Book Club were able to read virtually to our feeder campus next door. Plus, we were able to provide each 1st Grade student a FREE book, thanks to our PSJA Library Services Department donations.

PSJA Pathways Toward Independence/LIFE Program and RYMS Washington Huskies collaborate by reading each other books that promote the importance of being yourself. Shout out to PTI Teacher Ms. Jackie Alferez & RYMS Librarian Ms. Lugo for making this happen! What a neat way to promote literacy to ALL!

WOHOO!!! RYMS was among the TOP 4 digital literacy schools in the whole PSJA ISD that was awarded by @learningdotcom. These schools excelled in empowering their students to become digital literate by using the program consistently and with fidelity. WE are RYMS Proud!

🗼PSJA ISD District Event "A POETIC Passport to Paris"🗼
Way to represent RYMS 8th grade student Sheyla Garcia at our first annual PSJA ISD District Event "A POETIC Passport to Paris." One student from each campus was able to represent and share their own created poem. Sheyla was able to share her "Dear RYMS" poem. Thank you Sheyla for sharing your talent! WE are RYMS Proud!

We had over 50 Poetry submissions, it was a very tough close race. Thank you to all the participants who turned in a poem entry. We loved seeing the many "Poets" RYMS has. Way to go BEARS!
