Dear Kinsner Elementary Families,
Happy New Year and welcome back to school! As we step into 2025, I hope you all had a wonderful winter break filled with joy and relaxation. It's great to have our students back in the classrooms, ready for another exciting year of learning and growth.
I am thrilled to announce that our Operations Leadership Team will be presenting "Career Day" on Friday, March 28th, just before our Spring Break. This event aims to provide an age-appropriate learning experience for our students while allowing families to share their real-world work experiences. We believe it’s a fantastic way to inspire our students about the various career paths they can explore in the future. Please see more information and the process for participation in this newsletter. We plan on keeping the sign-up link active for two weeks.
PTA will host their monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 15th at 10:00 AM within the Kinsner Teacher's Lounge. There will be no school on Monday, January 20th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Career Day
Dear Kinsner Families,
We are excited to announce our upcoming Career Day on Friday, March 28th, from 1:30 to 3:15 PM, right before Spring Break. We are looking for parent volunteers to present their jobs to our students in an interactive and engaging way. Each presentation will last 15 minutes and will be repeated multiple times for different groups of students in a particular grade level.
*Please note that if you are chosen you may be assigned to present to a classroom or grade other than your child's. This will help us ensure that all presentations are appropriate and engaging for each grade level.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out the attached survey HERE. We will review all submissions and select presentations that are most appropriate for each grade level within the amount of presenters we are able to accommodate. This will be due by Monday, January 27th. The committee will confirm if you're selected in February via email.
We appreciate your support and look forward to a fun and educational event!

Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration will open Jan 14th. This will be the same process for all incoming SCS KG students (full day, half day, coming from preschool).
Winter Weather Reminder
Winter weather is here!
Please make sure students of all grade levels have a complete change of clothes in their backpacks ( shirt, pants, socks and underwear).
This will help avoid a mid-day phone call home for students who get wet or muddy during recess.
