Growing Readers: School Spotlight
Belair Elementary School
Growing Readers teachers at Belair Elementary provide students with daily opportunities for independent reading practice. They provide meaningful opportunities for students to discuss, evaluate, and reflect upon the texts they read independently. Students are encouraged to talk around text and confer with their teacher and each other, ensuring independent practice time is accountable and authentic. As these teachers grow readers, they are also honing their skills with 1:1 conferring, strategy group lessons, and high-impact routines. Belair Elementary School is growing readers every day!
This or That: Growing Readers Edition!
Growing Readers isn’t a reading program—it’s a sustainable system of learning that changes the game for both students and teachers:
✅ Structured Independent Practice empowers students to grow as readers every day as they apply what they are learning.
✅ Teacher-Facing Coaching Support provides professional learning combined with on-site classroom support that helps you refine your craft and make the most impact.
✅ The learning? It’s forever—knowledge that can never be taken away!
Ready to create lasting growth and a love for reading? Let’s grow together! 🌟

K-12 Mathematics Resources
Scaffolding Instruction for English Learners
The purpose of this document is to provide mathematics teachers and leaders with evidence-based, pragmatic scaffolds and supports for English Learners (ELs). This guide is a useful tool to help teachers provide high-quality instruction aligned to Georgia’s K-12 Mathematics Standards, adopted in August 2021. The strategies presented in this guide provide support with implementation of language scaffolds and mathematics frameworks that impact teaching and learning in Georgia. The goal is to help ELs master the newly adopted standards through accessible, useful, and easily implementable instructional strategies by mathematics content teachers and teachers of English to Speakers of other Languages (ESOL).
Multilingual Learners Mathematics Resource Companion Support Documents
This Resource Companion is intended to provide teachers with specific, evidence-based strategies and supports for multilingual learners to support mastery of Georgia’s K-12 Mathematics Standards.
