An email regarding returning student registration was sent home last week, along with a "snapcode" required to register your student(s). Please complete registration as soon as possible so we can begin preparing for SY 2019-20. Proof of residence is also required (current utility bill) for registration to be complete. Proof of residence can be uploaded during registration or emailed to Deb Snow at d.snow@laschools.net

The annual EOY BBQ and 6th grade/staff kickball game will be Wednesday, May 29 at 12:00. Chartwells will be offering hamburgers/veggie burgers/hot dogs, chips, watermelon and water for $4/student and $5/adult, or bring your own lunch! Click on the link to order meals (deadline May 23):

Chamisa is offering parents the opportunity to order school supplies through SchoolKidz. Click on the link below to see supply lists and order. Supply lists will also be sent home Friday, May 17. Orders can only be placed online and must be ordered by June 7. This program is optional.

Kits will be ready for pick up on Wednesday, August 14 during Meet the Teacher.

It's time for Summer Reading to begin! Between now and next week, Mrs. Nelson will be passing out your student's userID and password to log into the Scholastic Summer Reading Program. You can begin recording minutes online as soon as you receive your password.

To encourage summer reading, we'll be having an assembly on May 24th. Anyone who has submitted reading minutes in their Scholastic account between now and then will be entered into a raffle to win books to start their summer reading adventure. If at any time, you lose your ID or password over the summer, simply email Brittany Carpenter at mecarp31@yahoo.com.

Don't forget, at the beginning of next school year, for the first 1000 minutes each students will receive a $5 gift certificate to the book fair. For every 100 minutes logged, each student will receive a raffle ticket to win an e-reader or bicycle, generously donated by the Masons of Los Alamos.
