November Highlights
This month, we are filled with gratitude for our amazing students and supportive families. The school year is flying by, and we are so appreciative of everyone who contributed to our Mac and Cheese drive to help families in our community—your generosity makes a big difference!
In November, our students have been exploring the theme "Better Together," focusing on important values like honesty, support, and courtesy. These lessons help us build a strong and caring school community.
We’re thrilled to share that we had a successful music program this month with Mr. Gray, showcasing our students’ talents and teamwork! A huge thank-you also goes to Mrs. Cabello and Mrs. Chavez for applying for the Bright Ideas Grant through Lea County Electric. Lea Elementary was awarded $2000 to help create a garden in the spring. We can’t wait to see this project come to life!
In math, we’ve been working on measurement concepts, learning to compare objects by identifying whether they are shorter than, longer than, or equal in length. It’s exciting to see our students develop these essential skills!
Keep an eye on the Lovington Leader, where you’ll find writing pieces from our talented students sharing their thoughts about our community. We’re so proud of the creativity and growth our Lea students show each month!
Thank you for your continued support and for being an essential part of our Lea Elementary family!
