Working together; succeeding together. Working together; succeeding together.

As Treaty people, we take this moment to honor the lands of Treaties 4 and 6, and all they have provided to us and our families across many generations. These lands have long served as traditional meeting grounds, gathering places, and traveling routes for the Cree, Dene, Nakota, Dakota, Saulteaux, and Ojibway peoples since time immemorial. We also recognize these lands as the homeland of Métis Nation Eastern Region II.

We honor the ancestors whose footsteps have shaped these lands. We acknowledge that our use of these lands has come at a profound cost, including the impacts of colonialism and the residential school system. With this recognition, we commit to working together toward reconciliation and forging a path forward that honors the past and builds a better future for all.

Xmas Dinner 2024

Christmas dinner is one of my favorite traditions at PPCS. We gather our entire student body and several guest for a time of fellowship and food.

Huge thanks to Blair and Angela Lutz for once again sponsoring our dinner. Their generous support makes the vent possible.

Thanks to the grade 10 Bear Bites crew for their hard work, starting at 8:00am, to get the meal on the table. The boys showed all that they have learned throughout the year as they astutely handled all aspects of the meal, including boiling over 800 perogies, carving 5 turkeys and 5 hams, preparing a gallon each of gravy and mushroom sauce and much more. They worked very efficiently and had the meal ready to go by about 11:45.

Thank you to the SCC members and parents who were able to help out and ensure that all of the dishes stayed full for our students.

Thank you to the grade 6 class, who once again looked after cleaning up and doing the dishes following the dinner.

Thank you to the Phys Ed classes that looked after setting up and tearing down the tables and chairs for the dinner.

Thank you to Mr. Riley and Mrs. Victoria Riley for providing some entertainment during the meal.

Lastly, thank to all of our students who showed their appreciation for the meal through their compliments and their positive behavior.

Volunteers and Athletes of the Month Volunteers and Athletes of the Month

Volunteer of the Month

Jaxon Holinaty

Jaxon has been coming out to volunteer to work at the table for basketball games. He does a great job following and understanding the game. He takes his role serious and is always on the ball with what he has to do. We enjoy having him help out and hope he continues to volunteer in his future. Thanks a bunch Jaxon.

Athletes of the Month

Earl Santiago December’s tip of the hat goes to Earl Santiago. Earl has been clutch in the dying moments of close games by delivering dagger threes to seal the win. Perhaps his best feature is still his defensive hustle and annoyance of his opponent or anyone who rooms with him. We are excited to see what more he will bring to the team this season. Way to go Earl.

Amitiel Samalla had a great December leading her team through the first weeks of the season. Her speed , agility and pressure can cause issues for her opponent. Amitiel’s attitude and work ethic demonstrate just how much she loves the game. Great job Amitiel and good luck with the rest of your year.

Looking for Coaches

Bears Athletics is looking for coaches for the upcoming school year, mainly Sr. Boys Basketball, Track and Field. and an assistant for Girls Volleyball but if you are interested in others let us know. Please contact Mr. Bloski for details.

Check Your Punch Card Balance

Please note, as we get used to this new system, please be aware that punch card balances may be up to 1 week behind.

You can click the button below to check on how much your child has left on his/her punch card. To help support privacy, we have developed account numbers for each student. The account number is their grade followed by the last 4 digits of the phone number we have on file. For example, my son Noah is in grade 5. His account number would be 059017.

Once you click the link below and find your child's account number, you will see a number to the left of their account number (i.e. 17). That number will not change, so you only have to remember that number going forward.

We hope that this will help our families.
