THANK YOU, SCHOLLS HEIGHTS COMMUNITY!
We are feeling so much gratitude after an incredible Fun Run event! Thanks to YOU—our amazing families, students, and staff—we didn’t just reach our $60,000 goal… we soared past it, raising an unbelievable $72,205! 🎉
This wouldn’t have been possible without the heart and dedication you all brought to this event. Families rallied around their kids, shared fundraising pages with loved ones near and far, and truly showed what’s possible when a community comes together with joy and purpose. ✨
Whether you donated, volunteered, cheered from the sidelines, or simply helped spread the word—we see you, and we’re so grateful. Every dollar raised goes directly back into enriching our students' school experience through programs, resources, and opportunities that make Scholls Heights such a special place to learn and grow.
From the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU for showing up, lifting each other up, and making this Fun Run unforgettable. 💖
SPRING BOOK FAIR
Our Spring Book Fair is coming up April 21-24! Students will have the chance to browse and shop at the Book Fair during their library time. It will also be open for shopping after school for families and during teacher conferences. More information about your child's specific times will be sent home prior to the Book Fair.
We strongly encourage families to create an e-wallet with Scholastic to eliminate the need for students to bring cash to school. Set up an E-Wallet here!
The book fair hours are:
Monday, April 21: 9am - 4pm
Tuesday, April 22: 9am - 4pm
Wednesday, April 23: 9am - 7pm
- Thursday, April 24: 9am - 7pm
You can also shop online starting April 21: Book Fair Online

5TH GRADE SEND OFF
Hello 5th Grade Parents and Families!
Do you have any photos of your 5th grader for this school year, 2024-2025? Maybe you have some great ones of more than one 5th grader doing something together! Or, you may have photos of your 5th grader throughout the years at Scholls Heights (K-4). If you would like to share, please send those photos in to have them in the yearbook!
Each 5th grade family can share a maximum of 10 photos. Photos for the school yearbook need to be school related (first day photos, field trips, PTO events, Fun Run, etc.)
The yearbook will include a flashback section of the 5th graders at Scholls Heights, which will be the K-4 years.
Any photos need to be submitted in the Google Drives below. Please find your child’s teacher in the folders below. Photos are due by April 27th.
Thank you!

ONE SCHOOL, ONE BOOK: A Shared Reading Experience
Last month, Scholls Heights came together for a special school-wide reading event! Every family received a copy of the book The Very, Very Far North by Dan Bar-El, giving us all the opportunity to enjoy the same story, together. It was a wonderful way to connect as families and as a school community through the joy of reading. Students even had a chance to chat with the author via live stream in their classrooms!
Check out the highlight video shared by Beaverton School District below!
This memorable experience was made possible by a generous $4,200 grant from SHPTO. Thanks to the incredible support of our community through school fundraisers, opportunities like this become a reality. We’re so grateful—thank you!
STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK - MAY 5-9
We’re excited to share plans for the 2025 Scholls Heights Staff Appreciation Week (May 5-9)! This year’s theme is “Wicked-ly Oz-some” in celebration of the Wicked movie — and we can’t wait to show our appreciation in magical, fun ways. Throughout the week, there will be a variety of activities for families to participate in as we celebrate the amazing Scholls Heights staff. Below, you’ll find the calendar of events, and you can access the latest Staff Favorites list here.
As a reminder, we are still accepting gently used, popular and/or best-selling books to help build a staff library filled with leisurely reads for rest and recharge. If you’ve recently finished a great book, please consider donating it by dropping it off at the front office by 4:00 PM on May 5.
Please reach out to president@SHPTO.org with any questions.

A big shout-out to our fantastic committee members Shannon Webster, Luke Andrews, Nicole Mueller, and Dawn Rodgers for their support and contributions every step of the way. We couldn’t have done it without you!
And a special thank you to the over 50 day-of volunteers who tracked laps and cheered on our students—your enthusiasm and support made the event even more exciting and memorable. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!
Thank you, Scholls Heights community, for making this Fun Run one to remember!
BOTTLE DROP
Recycle your cans and bottles, and earn money for our school! It's easy!
First, stop by the front office to get a stash of blue Bottle Drop bags to take home. Then fill them up with your cans and glass bottle recycling! You can return full bags to the front of the school every Friday (when school is in session) for collection, or return them to a Bottle Drop redemption center near you! SHPTO receives the money in return for the bottles/cans.
