CUM LAUDE SOCIETY
The Cum Laude Society is a national organization seeking to acknowledge superior scholarship at the high school level. This year, 80 members of the Mt. Lebanon senior class were recognized on March 7th not only for their superlative academic achievement but also for upholding the ideals of the Cum Laude Society: Excellence, Justice, Honor, and Truth.

COMMON APP ANNOUNCES ESSAY PROMPTS
Common App announced that the 2024-2025 essay prompts will remain the same. Past research shows that overall satisfaction with the prompts remains high among students, counselors, and member colleges.
We hope that by sharing the prompts now, students will have the time they need to reflect on their own personal stories and begin thinking about what they want to share with colleges. The Common App Ready resource guide provides best practices to assist you when approaching the essay.

Student must meet the criteria listed and provide an adult who can verify information.
You're eligible if one or more of these descriptions apply to you:
- You're enrolled in or eligible to participate in the federal National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
- Your family's annual income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service.
- You're enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that aids students from low-income families (e.g., TRIO programs like Upward Bound).
- Your family receives public assistance.
- You're unhoused or reside in federally subsidized public housing or a foster home.
- You're a ward of the state or an orphan.
AP Exams
AP Exam Registration
Registration for AP Exams this year is closed. More details on exam day plans will be sent closer to the test date. If you are interested in canceling an AP Exam click here and you will receive a partial refund of $60. All cancellations after April 5, 2024 will not receive a refund. If you have any questions please reach out to your school counselor or Mrs. D'Alessandro, AP Coordinator.
RAAPS
RAAPS (Rapid Assessment for Adolescent Prevention Services) is a standardized validated risk screening tool developed to support professionals in addressing the risk behaviors impacting health, well-being, and academic success in youth. The program is free and completely voluntary and confidential.
RAAPS is available to all students in grades 7-12. Information and parental consent forms were emailed to families mid-January. If you have any questions please visit Outreach Teen & Family Services, or call their office at 412-561-5405.
