Hello Math RtI students and families!

I hope you had a great time exploring our beautiful state during NY History Week. I personally enjoyed taking a virtual tour of Niagara Falls. I loved hearing the falls and could almost feel the cool air and cold sprays of water! One day I hope to visit with my family!

As you know, I have been out on maternity leave since this past winter. We have been so lucky to have Ms. Pepe covering for me while I welcomed my 3rd son into the world! Baby Aidan is doing great and I'm ready to come back and teach my favorite math students! I've missed you all so much!

I know distance learning is not the same as being together in our classroom. But we can make this work! I am here to support all of you - parents and students! My role during this time is to help my students understand the math presented by the classroom teachers. Each week, I will post a supporting lesson that will align with the classroom teacher's work. These lessons will further explain new concepts as well as review skills students need to be successful with their classwork. Also, this is the best part, I will be able to see my Tier 3 Math RtI students LIVE on google meet! This will give me an opportunity to answer any questions you may have as well as review the games and activities you need to get done for the week.

In order to keep organized, I will create a Seesaw class for my Tier 3 Math RtI students. Please be on the look out for an invite coming your way! I will also post videos each week to this newsletter. Mrs. Eid, our Tier 2 Math RtI TA, has been doing a great job creating Flipgrid videos to support her students. You will be able find links to those videos on this newsletter as well!

Here are two different 100 charts. The first is a link to the interactive 100 chart I used in my introduction video. The second is a printable 100 chart you can put near a sink in your home. By the end of Kindergarten, our goal is to be able to count to 100 by ones beginning from any given number (instead of beginning at 1).
