Looking Forward to this Full Week of School!
After several snow days, we are excited to get back to a full week of school! The consistency of a regular schedule, time spent with our students, and the familiar routines—like breakfast, lunch, backpack buddies, classroom activities, and all the little moments—are things we truly look forward to. Here’s to a wonderful week of learning and growing together!
A Farewell to Ms. Draher
We want to share some bittersweet news with you all. Our beloved counselor, Kristy Draher, will be moving to the high school at the end of January to take on an exciting new role as the Northridge High School guidance counselor. While we are thrilled for her new opportunity and what she will do at the high school, we will certainly miss her presence here at our school.
Ms. Draher has been an invaluable part of our school community. She has provided compassionate support in so many areas, including PBIS, the development of 504 plans, small group work, 1:1 counseling, and more. Her dedication and care have had a profound impact on both students and staff, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has done.
As we begin to make arrangements for how to continue the wonderful services Ms. Draher has provided, we want to reassure you that we will still offer the same support, though there may be some minor changes in the process. We are committed to ensuring that every child receives the care and attention they need.
Please take a moment to share this news with your children. Ms. Draher will be speaking with them directly about her move, and we want to ensure they understand and feel supported through this transition.
Thank you, Ms. Draher, for your unwavering dedication and all that you’ve done for our students and school community. You will be greatly missed, and we wish you all the best in your new role!
Parent-Teacher Conferences: Let's Connect!
In just a few weeks(January 23 and 28), we will be hosting our second round of Parent-Teacher conferences, which is the perfect time to check in on your child’s progress as we approach the midpoint of the second semester. These conferences are a wonderful opportunity to come together and discuss your child’s growth, strengths, and areas for continued development. If you were unable to attend the last round of conferences, we highly encourage you to make plans to join us this time.We will be contacting you to do so. It is incredibly important that we work together as a team to support your child’s success. We believe in the power of partnership between home and school, and your involvement is key to your child’s learning journey.
Additionally, within the week, you will receive your child’s Winter I-Ready results, as we are completing these assessments. We will be happy to discuss these results with you during conferences and address any questions or thoughts you may have.Teachers will be reaching out shortly to schedule your conference. We look forward to connecting with you and working together to ensure the very best for your child’s educational experience.
